OTB: I've deleted many of the .bos files; that sprite_0.bos was the only one to give that error. To fix that prob I simply created an empty .zip file and renamed it to sprite_0.bos. It works fine. No defrag required.

I've a switch that unlocks and opens the doors when used, and closes then locks the doors when used a second time, using Object Script State conditions/actions (see below). Thanks again, Max-V. This invovles that map I want visited twice. The player will start the first mission inside the door so I...

I think The pools are in Wasteland -> Objects -> JailCell -> BloodyRoom -> BloodyWalls Yep, thats what I'm looking for. Thanks. Definitely not the smartest place to hide those. I checked the Objects and Floors folders expecting it to be in there. Sorry Max-V, I should've checked again when you ment...

Re: Various Questions

Thanks for the responses Max-V. Wasteland -> Objects -> JailCell -> BloodyRoom No, these arent the tiles I'm referring to. The ones I'm referring to are simply pools of blood and guts, not floor or wall tiles and not the hooks, bodies, barrels or any of the bloody objects. Open up mission3 and go to...

Various Questions

Got some random questions that have popped up while working on my campaign. 1) Doors. If you want a locked door to bu un lockpickable, what is the Chance setting? 0? -1? Also, in general, how does the Chance setting work with the lockpick skill? 2) Bloody Tiles. In mission 3 (Raider fortress) there ...

That screenshot looks really good, OTB. Are you incorporating that map into your campaign now that SOAM bit the dust? Can't wait to see the rest of that building. I'm glad I'm not the only one mixing and matching floor tiles. My BOS bunker used industrial tiles, bos tiles, and robot tiles. I think i...

All the map rats would be in a constant drunken stupor. Half the words in the editors are misspelled. Furniture/Furnature...Helicopter/helecopter...etc... Of course, all of us Americans know there's no U in armor. And while we're on the topic of misspelling, Ghetto Goose, you might want to check you...

Hey, are you that same Talion that posted in the old boards? I was wonderin' where you went! Yep. Same me. Just took a long hiatus from Fo:T. I'm still quite a bit turned off by Interplay's greed and buggy games. Went back to Half-life mapping for a while. Got bored with that so decided t...

Sorry Talion, for not observing your post earlier. I've just seen OTB's remark. I will add it now... Also as soon as you come up with a title, let us know, as it will look better with a title. Wasn't your fault you never noticed it. The board seems quite a bit screwed up as of late. It still says I...

I'm with Talion that this would be a bit weird, but - as Viktor pointed out - since you don't adopt a superior to thee attitude because of your job I think it would work. I wasn't implying Section8 was going to be arrogant. That was a joke. I just think it would be weird for the interviewer to know...

I thought I might let you all know that I'm working on a FO:T campaign as well. It is a solo project and moving very slowly. It may end up being a mini-campaign since I doubt I'll have the time to finish the whole thing as originally planned. I dont have a site for my campaign but I quickly threw to...

I'll put my hand up for interviewing, but that might seem kind of weird. No kidding that would be weird. I can imagine the interviews already: "So, I'm a professional mapper who's made maps for retail games. How about you? Oh, just a few amateur maps? Well, I'm sure they weren't too bad."...
