America. If you look closely at the first piece of concept art it mentions "Denver"... for some reason I think this dev team has decided to steer clear of the California/Vault13 lineage. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like.
If they do move away from California -- I don't mind a bit. I think that it's a rather good idea to move away from Cali and the 'Vault Dweller' lineage therein.

They are from an artist that works for Black Isle and are current work. Basically there are many obvious pointers that it was created for Fallout 3 including photos from Josh showing his office with the drawings on the wall. And lots of hints from the staff. As Sherlock Holmes would say, "It's elementary my dear Watson."
You are dreaming. I understand you want to believe that will be F3, me to, but you must be realistic. I'll believe it when Black Isle announces fallout 3.
Yes we all know that corporations hire artists to just draw doodles for nonexistant projects. And we know that game developers like to have long conversations in internet forums on company time about projects that will never get made.

i guess it is good that they might/are placing it in a region other than california... it would allow for some new things to be introduced without breaking the origional's molds so much.
I sorta like how things are going to a more Post-Apocalypse feel than FO2 was. FO1 was very P-A, so this will probably feel along the same lines, as for gameplay and story, I cant judge that 'til it's on my desk.
Cybernetic Deathclaws with minigun arm attachments... what if it were all a lie... fallout three goes gold tommorow... that screenshot is used as the primary online advertising banner.
