Sierra Army Base Cadaver

Post by danferry »

Anyone ever retrieve anything other than a brain on level 4? I retrieved the cadaver, and the guy woke up, talked a bit, then ran off and got killed.

Just curious if anyone else has ever don that?

I just wish I didn't do it so often.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone has met up with him.

And no, he does not serve any other purpose than running down that corridor and melting into a big pile of poop, just to cheer up your day.

Doesn't he have the Limited Edition Red Ryder BB Gun on his corpse, which makes a decent sniper rifle and/or prize to trade in?

Nope. Nothing on him, IIRC.

It's worth the wakeup to get the bb gun if you haven't already gotten it in NCR. I loved shooting rats with that thing & have even taken out an enclave trooper here & there.

Exactly. I love that gun. It was my secondary when I got the Gauss rifle, just for shits and giggles. Nothing quite like a BB gun against Horrigan.

problem with the bb gun is it has horrid armour...or it pulls a consistent crappy number everytime. Been too long to remember.

I always hated it. Dunno really why, maybe I just ain't such a humorous guy when I play Fallout? Somehow the idea of taking a BB-gun into a fight full of power armors & heavy machine guns felt kinda ackward?

I just always had better guns then the BB gun.

Well, that too. It's something like 25 max damage, innit?

Yeah - the damage before calculations was a straight 25, not a range.

I modded that gun to be burst-capable... that's the only change I made to it, and it ROCKED.

The only thing that I used the LE bbgun for was to shoot kids in the eye to see the text "His eye bursts like a ripe grape" (or something along those lines).

Sorry, it was about 4 years ago, and it's long gone... but on the bright side, it's incredibly easy to do, if you download the proper modding tools. You can get them from the front page.

You can shoot them with any gun... it gives the same messages. Careful for the bounty hunters though, ha ha.

I remember with one of my first play-throughs of Fallout 2 I attempted to remove those little bastards in Klamath who insist upon following the player character around once you have a 'favourable' reputation in the area.

Planting explosives on kids would have been wonderful, were it not for the crashes. :drunk:
