Good points, though, seeing as they are Finns, that makes them second in the Nordic states, only to Sweden. Thus they are immune to hate. Save it all for Africa, China, and Mexico.

What's to hate about Mexico? They've got decent drugs, cheap liquor, good food, and very inexpensive knock-offs of various electronics that work pretty well. Like the PlayerStation I got for $20 that played NES and Playstation games...Or the torn up N64 control that has about 50 old NES games on the chip and you just plug the thing into your RCA inputs on the TV for a nice Super Mario Bros. experience.

As for Africa...Ehrm...Nothing against them unless they're 419 scammers...In which case I take great pride in making their lives miserable.

The army is too soft nowadays. Although I'm not a fan of the system, military service could bring those net addicts back to reality. I certainly hope the society isn't becoming much like the one in South Korea, where gaming is a way of life for many.

I think by letting a bunch of virgins leave the army on account of a web addiction, Finland has lost all credibility. The only thing that's saving them from shittyness now are all the hot blondes.

First of all, you silly foreigners always mistype/forget/ignore our ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¤'s and ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¶'s. And commander-Captain, or komentajakapteeni, is a Navy rank (quite high, in fact). So, the guy who's been interviewed is called komentajakapteeni Jyrki KivelÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¤, by us and everyone with normal alphabet.

Our military force is based on compulsory service (which means two choices: either the army or cleaning toilets, nursing old people etc.), because we have found it to be the best option for a nation of our size. There are pluses and minuses, but we find it to be better of all other options.

You can "avoid" your service till your 36, if you have a good reason. Then it's time for the "final judgement", where you're either dragged to service by force or releaved. Mostly this happens because of religious (Jehovan Witnesses, anyone?) or health-related reasons.

But yeah, we're silly and we're certainly bastards alright.

Unlike from USA, Finland has Defence Force, not army. So it's not meant to attack. We have DF because if someone thought about attacking to Finland, they would think twise, 'cause they couldn't do it without losing many and many and many soldiers of their own.
