Vile and evil are products of a (flawed) perspective, my dear Koki. Whereas the belief that System Shock 2 is superior to System Shock 1 is a product of feeblemindedness. About the only relevant point we agree on is the awfulness of the German versions of either game, I'd wager. Yes.

Regardless (pertaining to any games you may in fact be aware of and/or played prior to this topic) -

Spiderweb Software's games, i.e Exile, Avernum, Geneforge etc et al and so on and so on forever and ever huzzah. :drunk:
Soldat.
Escape Velocity : Nova.
Mount and Blade.
Mafia.
Jagged Alliance 1/2 + Mods (LEWEL !!11?!1).
Syndicate & (to a lesser extent) Syndicate Wars.
Dungeon Keeper 1.
Worms (stop at Worms World Party, though.)
ADOM.

Other stuff (SAME AGAIN, SAM !) :drunk:

Played MP 1 + 2, number 2 was awesome. I don't think a sim game is appealing to me, but thx.

Played Thief 1 years ago, was not my type, really, I am more the gun blazing run in circles and kill everything at sight FPS player

@Koki is Raiden this R-Type like game?

@Blargh guess where I got my nickname from hyuk hyuk
I think WWP got too many options and stupid missions, but worms 2 won't run on my xp anymore for some wicked reason. O:
Mafia is a good game, too, but I'm through that as well.
I didn't like Dungeon Keeper.
Played through NOLF2, nice game, I guess, I wouldn't like the first part for the graphics, though, I think.

What's "ADOM"?

I think I'll go for System Shock 2 after the Lego Racers thingie, thanks for the advices

Guess indeed. Ohohoho.

Ancient Domains Of Mystery is, with very little doubt, one of the best roguelikes and games in existence. :drunk:

The weapon customisation options in Worms 2 make it the clear winner as far as the series is concerned, WWP is all about stupid options, Worms 3D was shite though, in my opinion. Dungeon Keeper is something of an acquired taste. But not liking Thief !? That's just inane !

Not surprising you've experience and knowledge of many of the recommendations, really. 'Twas to be expected.

You are, obviously, on extraordinarily thin ice if you cannot bring yourself to like either Syndicate or Syndicate Wars, however. Fast paced, gritty, dystopian squad based strategy. It's thoroughly orgasmic. Especially Syndicate.

Pedestrians + Nuclear Hand Grenade = Hilarity.

Truly. Yes. :drunk:

Raiden 2 is vertical-flying-scroller. Think River Raid just with everything quardulped.
Serious Business.

I second Homeworld (not 2).

There is a reason it spawned so many spinoffs.
I miss the good ol' USSA.

Really? Hm.. I suppose that I'll have to give it a spin one day, 'since I don't think that I've played a patched version in the past. :sadblinky:

Anything with spinning limbs is ok in my book.
WWP and Armageddon totally ruled, thanks to modding tools and image mapping. Oh, what carnage I forged. :drunk:

Mystic EDIT: As for
weapon customisation options in Worms 2
; the ability to craft your own weapons and outfit them completely, with any sprite ( mind you ), surelly goes beyond in quality, for those of a creative and zealous nature?

That goes without mention, St. Toxic. So why did you write it ? Nonetheless, for when one lacked the motivation to stuff around with anything vaguely complex, the in game weapon options of Worms 2 were quite welcome. Or so I found. Later titles failed in that regard. :drunk:

Yup, got Worms 2 to work again, too. Seems like it can only "see" the first CD drive, thus image files didn't work.

I gave Homeworld/Gateway2 a try, as well, but I gave up like after 5 minutes, it was way too "adventuresque" for my liking with all those "pick up", "keep", "look at" and other shit.

All right, here's a pretty good torrent for it at Demonoid.com.

If you don't have an account at demonoid, just go to http://www.demonoid.com/account-signup-inv.php and use this code: T35jk52Ulm D:
