The american constitution was written on the paper of broken treaties I've heard

Never argue with an idiot. They just bring you down to their level and beat you with experience

I didn't realize fresh paper was so scarce back then.

First of all, I know Condoleeza is no longer the NSA... secondly, I'm not a political activist, because I'm well aware that activism is futile. However, it's cathartic for me to bitch about it on the internet.

I was actually going to argue that a low point in our country's history was letting the slaves go...
We could still be having free labor to this day, but no. Instead we have this:

You guys do realize that the President isn't allowed to just send the military just anywhere he pleases when he pleases unless he's asked. There's this little thing called the Constitution that protects US citizens. And although many would argue that it gets trampled on a regular basis, I think you'll find that politicians really do consider it when they make their decisions.

But still, they dropped the ball on this one. Let's not blame it all on Bush. The local and state government could have done a ton more. Basically, everyone fucked up.

I'm sure nobody would have whined if Bush sent the army into Louisiana uninvited had the hurricane caused major devastation, but imagine what would have happened if he sent them in and there was no hurricane. He's getting enough "OMG BUSH IS A DICTATOR! HE STOLE THE ELECTION! TWICE!" as it is. cliche alert: Hindsight is 20/20.

Bush's political career currently exists in an area that is between a rock and a hard place. Lets leave it at that.

Nonsense. He just has to ride out his second term. He's pretty much reached the apogee of any American politician's career. Once he's done in 2008, he can retire, sit back and let the dollars from his ghostwritten autobiography roll in.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

The US: The only nation that has gone from barbarism to decadence without an intervening period of civilization.

Well I ment in the sense of approval ratings. Pretty much any action he takes is deemed "Wrong." I can agree with the retirement plan.

US has deteriorated to the level of USSR. A socioeconomical experiment that will make the whole world a better place if only the rest of the nations would see the marvelous big picture. Nuke the earth now.

Well, there was the bit with the bridges and the plumbing.

The US didn't have very much of anything to do with Marcel Duchamp, aside from the fact that Duchamp happened to be in it at the time.

The US had Andy Warhol and other stupid shit like that, though. Queer.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
