I like gun porn because it's cool, but in practice I now only consider guns for self-defense, because there are way too many violent idiots and imbeciles out there.

And guns are not just *any* items, so it's not like "bowling balls" obviously.
Guns are objects that are made of metal, are taugh and heavy, and -most iportant of all- evoke in the mind the images of violence, power, killing, etc.

If you are ignorant or a killer. I am neither. I use guns for shooting sports like general target practice, recreational plinking, trap and skeet. Because of this that is how I think of guns, within the context of how I use them.

OK maybe I should say more.

Revolvers are penis-shaped, so if I'm looking for an evil-looking revolver, I'd go for something that'd look like my penis in the ideal world, haha

Semi-automatics, on the other hand, bring out the inner geek in me. Same reason you'd love a well-made bike, or a well-written program.

But that's about my fascination. Not actually why I buy guns anymore. A featherweight .38+P wheelgun that fits in my pocket is more comforting to me than a heavy double-stack automatic that pulls my pants down, even though the wheelgun looks faggy.
