Show me a bathroom scene, meaningful or not in Paths of Glory. I'll give you Spartacus, but I don't recall any bathrooms in the trenches of 1916...
box wrote:So, OTB, you must have some thoughts on the Big Guns skill in FO3?
I've been out of the loop as far as FO3 goes, but I hope that they keep as close to the original weapons catalogue with only some expansion as possible. A lot of games suffer from getting too explicit with what people are using. Sort of like how the old spy RPG Top Secret started with generic examples of a class, and ended up with a ream's worth of guns, many of which were practically the same.

Or someone wearing power armor. ;)

I just hope they stick to keeping it as abstracted as possible. There's nothing I particularly want to see in the game. I just hope that it's memorable and keeps to the flavor of the original.
RedEye wrote:Does Canister come in 25mm? Y'know, for human waves.
No need for it. Cannister is for weapons with low rates of fire. The Army finally got around to fielding a cannister round for the Abrams' 120mm, but the Bushmaster has a high rate of fire (max. 200 spm +/- 25) which pretty much equates to a meat-grinder as far as human waves go.

Incidentally, Iraqi insurgents reportedly fear the Bradley more than the Abrams due to its superior anti-personell capabilities...

Cheers,

I like the little hole in the spike.

Makes it look like a little incense burner.

Would have been a neat way to keep bugs away from the head.

Hmm, have made some notable additions since I last posted. Traded my Remington 870 Express Magnum for a Mossberg 590 and bought a Sig Sauer P229R in .40 S&W (I already had a nice Insight technologies light and opted for the tritium sights making for a nice little house gun). Haven't gotten a chance to take the Mossberg out yet but the Sig is the best shooting handgun i've ever handled. I can post some pics if there is any interest.

Oh, and on the subject of concealed carry I will be signing up this afternoon for a course that is being offered towards the end of this month. Should be entertaining (minus the 8+ hours of "class time").
my vocabulary skills is above you.

What's the point of tritium sights if you already have a flashlight on a rail? D;

Because flashlights run on batteries, and batteries run out of juice, leaving you in the clutches of the demons of darkness...usually at the most inconvenient time imaginable. This even if you did sacrifice three chickens to the demons and sprinkle your flashlight w/said chicken blood...

Flashlights aren't a tactical panacea, either. While they have some advantages like lighting areas up and possibly blinding an opponent they give your position away, or can alert someone to your presence.

And since this is a gun-thread in a Fallout fan forum...here's a link to a primitive Gauss Pistol. Virtually soundless according to the site, I bet that changes if you made one with a supersonic muzzle velocity. Rate of fire leaves something to be desired, too...

Sold the wife's Ruger P95 and got me a brand new PT92 Taurus and gave my wife my blue one. I got the chromed out stainless one for myself.

My new PT92:

Yeah, I know. Might be funny to bounce projectiles off of unruly privates, though. Maybe I could put it to use next time I'm Charge of Quarters? It would add an interesting twist to the Airsoft wars that go on in our barracks intermittently...

You sir are about one step away from taking home the New Orleans Pimp Award (tm)...

(Clue for the kiddies: there was a time when being called a pimp had nothing to do with being a lady's man, but rather had connotations of being seedy, not to mention suffering from a fashion impairment that manifested itself in various gaudy forms...)

If it doesn't dispose of threats the traditional way, said nuisances may be rendered vulnerable to an enthusiastic bludgeoning through sensory overload via a severe lack of taste made manifest. Or not. :drunk:

Personally, I only use a Beretta at work. I'm pretty sure it's Gulf War vintage, too.

Something tells me that there will never be 50 year old M9 Pistols kicking around like there were M1911s. They don't hold up as well when used as bottle openers, either...

(Lock the slide to the rear and I'm sure you can figure it out.)
