I'm not seeing much of a difference between the two ratings, except as a matter of degree and prolongation.
THAT MEANS NO NIPPLES; TO ME; THAT MEANS; NO BUY!!
Miss Bishop in 3d bukkake action was my dream. Now i have no dream to build a kiss on or something.

I was more referring to other countries like Germany, i`m pretty sure they want to reach the global market and they know what shit they can add(for example: children kiling, slaves and all that isn`t working in Germany). Bethesda wants to be a global player, i doubt we`ll see some good gore. More like stupid ragdoll animations èn masse!

Your avatar makes you Charisma 2 ? btw.

An AO rating wouldn't probably have a negative effect on sales, but Bethesda as a developer and publisher of less mature franchises doesn't want to put its rep in jeopardy.

Ah, I see. Do ESRB ratings apply there, or does Germany have its own rating system?

In all seriousness, I do not really feel the whole M vs. AO is that important except from the standpoint of making a statement. I agree that Bethesda is (worryingly) attempting to appeal to a larger market via a non-AO rating, but I think as long as the rating is M, we're in luck, barring Liam Neeson of course.

Miss Bishop + Liam Neeson in hot guro action = instant turn-on.

And my avatar won't win any beauty pageants any time soon, durn right.

Yes.
It goes something like this(short version):
Tits are nothing for Kids. Blood is nothing for Teenager. More blood and gore is for adults and needs to be sold under the table(i think). And raping women or shooting limb after limb is for nobody and it gets cencored. (kind of)

There is also a EU - rating, cant tell you that one.
But you get the point what Bethesda will create.

Oh i have a story on Command & Conquer 3: The US-version has some suicide bombers, which kill themself with the bomb. The German version has some terrorist who plant the bomb and then disapears.

that could work.
Also, I think AO rating could actually increase the sales.

Well, it's a start.

It lacks the St.Toxicy creativity, though.

All I read was Sneezed's post, and to clarify if no one else has, the reason why no one makes AO (which if you thought Fallout would be you're pretty much nuts) is that most vendors won't sell them because parents would be up in arms about the end of all things and shit. Not to mention WalMart doesn't stock AO. And as we all know WalMart owns your soul.
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!

Most vendors in the US won't stock AO. You'd pretty much have to special order the game online. Not even the big game shops will allow it, they won't even let you trade in the version of San Andreas that was upped to AO.

I really, really didn't want to see lame 3D polygonal sex ala Hot Coffee in a Fallout game anyways.

It's the dialogue that made the originals sexy.
Death: "Only one man can kill this many Russians. Bring his guitar to me!"

sex (intercourse) in fallout was like.. the screen darkened and then you see the aftereffect plus some nice comment in the text box. There was also sex in the form of hoz, hohaus and porn studio in Fo2.
Guess I need to replay the original game to remember what sort of sex was there in it. Anybody refresh my memory?

dont forget the epic music during the sex, though.

Am I the only one here who refuses to buy games off-the-shelf? Maybe AO wouldn't be such an issue if one didn't have to worry about stores being such prudes when it comes to their stocks.
