Not as often as I would like. I only get to see my girlfriend on holidays, which basically means every second weekend. A lot of pressure. Especially when I've lost all need and want to masturbate. I guess living in close quarters with 10 other sweaty, smelly guys has some kind of an effect.

Extraordinary fine afternoon to you, gentlemen. It's been busy here at the ROS, but
here's yet another update on my fancy, although temporary, military career. I've
had my hands full of work with all the camps and outdoor-exercises we have in here,
in addition to all the "volunteer" work I do at the student's union board. Great times
nevertheless, the spirit is just amazing. This is the first time in my life I can
honestly say that I'm in a truly efficient and highly motivated working community.

Education-wise we've been practicing platoon's defence and several ways of attacking,
including company-scale maneuvers in rough terrain. Around two weeks ago we also
started working "accross borders" with other military branches. No longer do we pretend
to have artillery leaders or engineers with us, but now we actually work with all the
professionals of their own trades. A normal jaeger platoon has only 1 officer, 5
NCOs and 22 rank-and-file cannon fodder people (=28). With all the additions
a jaeger platoon can grow up to the size of 40 fighters. The amount of specialists is
huge at this point. There aren't many obstacles or types of enemy that even such
a small group could not at least somehow effect. We can still even fit inside our PS-83
armored vehicles, which are originally meant just for our own troops.

There's only five weeks left and I've got awesome vibes, so to speak. Soon I will become
an Officer Cadet and the big deal begins. At the moment it seems that I will be situated
at first back in Kainuu Brigade to teach those god-damn rookies a lesson or two. After
that I will return to Reserve Officer School to train a new set of officers. I think it's
supposed to be an honor of some sort, but to be honest, I spend 14 hours on a bus
every weekend just to get home and back, so coming back here isn't really the
most exciting option for me. But this is the army, you got to take what you're offered
and that's it.

At the moment I'm ranked as the second best in our company. I hope either I will
get good grades from the last exams and my leadership performances or the guy who
is in front of me manages to screw up somehow. The number Uno gets all sorts of fancy
gold and glory, extra holidays, medals (?) or some shit as well, so it's a position to
actually struggle after. The number uno of all companies, the head honcho of the whole
Reserve Officer School is promoted to semi-godhood, given an officer's sword and
all the gold and glory times five.

I haven't got any new photos of myself, but I guess that's not much of a disappointment
to you guys anyways. Here are some nice shots that my comrades from Guerrilla Company
have taken. Have fun browsing through the photos, I'll update again sooner or
later. Probably later. I do have a long(ish) Christmas Holiday, though, so you never know...

The reason why guerrillas keep their hair really, really short is purely hygienic. A week or two or three in the woods with no shower can do bad shit to your head if you've got any longer hair than 1 mm stubble.

The reason why you see only white people in the photos is quite logical: there aren't many ethnicities in Finland to begin with and thus there sure aren't many found in the reserve officer school either. There are a couple middle-eastern dudes and some whities from other countries, but no black or asian fellows here at the moment.

I'm intrigued by this.

With only a little reinforcement you could cover that with earth or snow and in the forest it would be invisible.

Too bad there's not enough snow in that picture to "iglooify" that thing.
