Update

Post by xkcon »

Time for another Update. After a brief Hiatus due to health reasons as my mind was elsewhere... (Each day is a Gift!) I am back at work on the Mod and will hopefully be able to get this thing done soon. Right now I am just so relieved to be healthy, and will now get back to working on the mod for atleast a few hours every everyday. In the meantime here is a few more Pics from the Jackson City fight scene.

The fight Scene will include some interesting fighters and will keep track of your win/loss record (I can't tell you what a bitch it was to script that, thank god for the copy trigger feature in the editor...)

Will you have what it takes to become a champion??

As far as an ETA goes, again let me state that I am doing everything myself and trying to balance work on the MOD with my life can be very difficult, (the recent health scare has reaffirmed this). So I suggest that you go and (try to) enjoy Fallout 3. I am assuming that FO3 will kill all interest in this mod, as Fallout Tactics has never really been that popular anyway. Hopefully around the time Fallout 3 has been all played out, I will release this and then you guys will have some new adventures to play.

This actually looks really good. Haven't been this interested in Fo:T since it's release date was published.

Looks great, the level design looks inspiring, and the scripting is clearly pushing the limits of FO:T.

Looking forward to seeing it complete.

Update

Post by xkcon »

Update: Progress has been slow lately due to the holiday season, and I had to take about a month off as I moved out of my old place, and I had to establish an account with a new ISP. The Project is still coming along slowly, but I finished tiling a few new maps, here's a look...

Location 23 (the Forbidden zone)
Image
This was a Tiling Epic and ended up taking longer than anticipated, it also tested the limits of mapping with twin trade towers that are over 8 stories tall. Incidently the highest level you can place a tile on is 127.

Location 21 (Sleeper Base)

This is my tribute to Wasteland, one of the best RPGs of all time

Now that I'm settled into my new place, I'll be able to get back to business as usual, putting in a few hours (hopefully) every day.

Damn, xcon, you're still into this thing?
I admire your focus and determination.
It looks great, I'd sure play it. Haven't played FoT for at least 2 years now.
Have a great year btw, I've noticed you say you had trouble.

Update: Progress continues slowly but surely, I've been putting in at least a few hours everyday before bedtime. I'm just putting the finishing touches on Sleeper Base, which turned out to be a scripting monster. thankfully I could use ryuga's trigger combining program to save me a bit of time, but even with it, it was still a headache...

Anyways, here's a few more screens
