Fallout MMO set for 2012

Post by King of Creation »

[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Company: Bethesda v. Interplay | More info on Game: Project V13

Despite being embroiled in a lawsuit with Bethesda over the fate of their Fallout MMO, Interplay has updated their website to show that PV13 - the codename for the Fallout MMO - will be released in 2012.

If it will actually be released as a Fallout MMO and not a new IP depends on the outcome of the court case with Bethesda.

A creative use of the words 'wasteland' and 'fallout' would be appropriate after the rise/fall of the company and the lovely fodder one can amass during court appearances.
Appearing stupid is sexier than being stupid. Although I hear stoopid was a cut perk in fallout three, but was abandoned when the devs found out it could be simulated by simply playing the game...

I would call it "Prevent the Fallout"

It would be about rag tag groups of survivors that are racing towards being the first group to get access to DNA based parallel reality interface that replicates one's DNA pattern in the past and interfaces with it in the parallel present in an attempt to prevent a Nuclear Fallout from happening.(TM)

As long as the Art marks are different, Bethesda will not be able to do anything about stopping it because they cannot Trademark the reality that is a Nuclear Fallout since everybody knows it was created by Physicists to describe what happens when a nuclear weapon explodes.

Everybody except Bethesda.

Intel tried to trademark the lower case "i"

I wonder whether or not we'll get sued in a Hyper dimensional court by the consciousness that manifested this reality or at least sues Apple for misuse of the bitten trademark?

Bethesda would offer their lawyer mods as Humanity's defense.
