recommend a good TV series

With 24 ending this month, Damages and Breaking Bad tripping over their feet, Burn Notice is the only show I want to see. Might broaden my list with some of the picks here.
Appearing stupid is sexier than being stupid. Although I hear stoopid was a cut perk in fallout three, but was abandoned when the devs found out it could be simulated by simply playing the game...

I'm really digging The Pacific and Spartacus right now.

The Pacific is like a grittier version of Band of Brothers. I read a lot of Leckie's history books back in the day, but never read his personal experiences fighting the Japs. Brutal shit. Great TV.
Follows 1st Marines from the beginning in Guadalcanal to the end in Okinawa I'm assuming.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand is way over the top, it's like a blend of Gladiator, Ben Hur, 300, I Claudius, all that great epic Roman shit.
It's does for Roman Gladiators what Sopranos did for the mafia or Deadwood did for Westerns. Amps up the violence and sex and intrigue.
They're spoonfeeding things pretty well so far, because Spartacus is kind of like Titanic in that we all know what he's famous for, it's the tension building up the the climax that they handle really well. Each show has a really brutal episode where the Romans have to pretty much lay down the law with the slaves so they're very good at planting the seeds for what's to come.

Good stuff, I recommend.

I started watching Boston Legal and it's fantastic. They seem to like casting people from Scifi movies and tv shows: Captain Kirk, Odo, Seven of Nine, Daniel Jackson from the stargate movie...there are probably more.

Fringe and Lost are good. I watch Stargate Universe just because I feel obligated to.

There's also a good channel on TV here that shows a bunch of great older action shows like La Femme Nikita.

I also watch V. It's really crappy and contrived, but I feel compelled to watch it.

Fringe seems like a show desperately trying to get people to watch. I remember when it first started they kept having the "limited commercials" thing just to keep people watching I guess, I'm still surprised it has lasted this long. I haven't watched it maybe I will if sir megatron likes it.

fringe will return in 54.3 seconds
that still makes me laugh, that it refers to itself in the third person.

its hit and miss. Some episodes are overly sentimental and weak.
Walter bishop as the mad scientist makes the show though. certinaly not pacey or the chick that always looks lie a deer in teh headlights.

I just watched the last 20 minutes of Fringe, seemed pretty meh and their "IN THE NEXT TWO EPISODES OF FRINGE TEH WURLD ASPLODES" thing wasn't gripping enough to keep me tuned until the end of the season.

It led into the local news, who's story about a brawl between a bunch of dumb cunts at Monroeville Mall was infinitely more interesting.
