Sounds fun, I'd rent it.

Trust me, if it was a porn movie it would have actually been worth renting. The sex scenes weren't much better than the fade out fade in from FO. I guess that is one thing they do have in common.

Hmm, what if they made a Fallout porno movie? I think it would be rather successful.

Anyhoo, about that movie, like Theodore Sturgeon said, 90% of everything is crap. Most movies are crap, you just never see them. Take "Fallout" for example. >sigh< just too much crap...

Yes, but it would be quite an honor to the Fallout series. However, I'd like Fallout to grow big in gaming industry so it would catch the best moviemakers around.. instead of the crap wannabe directors, writers and actors. And they shouldn't add anything to the story and the original atmosphere.

Hmm, well, IMO, as a motion picture, Fallout could never be good. You would just have to take way too much out of it, and the audience would not understand what was going on. The only way it would even have a chance of being good would be it was, say, a Sci-Fi miniseries or something. And not what passes for one these days, an actual mini series. 7-10 parts or so. And than you would be able to put a lot into it. I dunno, maybe they could get away with 4-5 parts, if you took out most of the side quests that had nothing to do with the mutants.

Umm, I don't think they'll follow the plot in 'Fallout - the game' so exactly. They would probably make up something.

A mini-series would be a good way to do it. But I'd want to be as close to game as possible or it would just be another "I'll watch it just to mock it movies" like resident evil and tomb raider.

Daniel Jackson from stargate with long hair would be a good Ian. Just give him the clothes, and an SMG with very crooked sights.

Hopefully they would include a scene where the Vault Dweller 'accidentally' fires four consecutive bursts from his minigun into Ian's head.

Slave_Master wrote:Gizmo... Marlon Brando maybe? He is certainly large enough. Could probably do the voice too. I think he would make a pretty good Gizmo. As for the others, I don't know.
This is by far and away the funniest thing that SaintieP had nothing to do with on these forums.
Marlon Brando........genius.
Robin Williams. Genius.
Keanu Whatever has killied or come close to killing more movies than I can point a stick at. I will choose Matrix and Dracula as an example. Though , to be fair, Winona had alot to do with the near craptitude of the second-mentioned.
Ian, you need someone older- George Clooney, maybe.
Aradesh. Easy- Pagoda from the Royal Tenenbaums
Voice for Master? I am thinking Ian Holm for some perverse reason.
I know I will be scolded, but.. Brad Pitt as the Vaultie. I just cant think of someone.....
Voice for The LT? Hard. Someone new. I dont know.

Yup... that was simply genius... My list:

Marlon Brando - Gizmo
Keanu Reeves (seriously!) - Vault Dweller
Sean Connery - Overseer
Antonio Banderas - Ian
The main dude in Postman & Wyatt Earp.... - Tycho
Sarah Michelle... whatever (the vampire slayer) - Katja
George Clooney - Rhombus

And IMO Fallout-movie wouldn't work... It should be a mini-serie and it should last ~10 hours in total or so. You can't fit everything in the 2-4 hours standard movie length :?

Aww, you gotta stuff Samuel L. Jackson somewhere too. That guy is coolness itself. 8)

Considering there's not many 'black guys' around, he can wear some nasty makeup and be a mutant or something. Lieutenant perhaps.

I would put Pauly Shore as Ian. It would make the scene where the Vault Dweller blasts that stupid, trigger-happy shit out of existence that much more enjoyable. It would also explain why Ian is so damn dumb.

Good idea for Lt, but I was thinking more along the lines of the Lt's voice in FO, which already rocked. Pretty hard, I might add.
Keanu Reavees is a virus, a plauge. And we (people with taste in movies) are the cure!
George clooney as Rhombus, great choice.
And as the Vault Dweller himself? I PRESENT *drumroll* Ewan McGregor!

it would be a good movie if they spent time revising the plot, so it didnt seem like a game.
and if they had a lot of funding to make good computer animation, for ghouls and such, to really bring them out at creepy... well, ghouls.

what about the master?
he would have to be a not very well known actor, so you couldnt really point out the computer animation flaws. you know?

You've got a good point there, Strapon2. A lot of stuff in Fallout is too much like a game, namely when you have to constantly run around doing stuff for people. All the people. Or doing things to the people. It depends. Dialogue would also have to be adjusted to eliminate a lot of "I want to ask you some questions" lines.

Well, if the Master would have to be CG anyway, why not have the game voice actor do him? :?

George would make one hell of a Rhombus. A good Tycho would be that second in command of the bad guys from THe Rock. The guy that's the commander's friend. Peirce Brosnan and Mel Gibson would have to fit in there somewhere too.
