and Katja after you leave the Vault? I would think Tycho and Dogmeat would follow you,and maybe Ian. I think they should have had seperate endings depending on who you picked up on who survived, walking into the sunset. I know that in the Fallout 2 Booklet it says Ian and Dogmeat die, i would still think that if all survived that they would follow you.

I always imagine half the game between me' ears. That's why I like rpgs so much: the games give room for my imagination :)
But if you really want "accurate" information, check out the FoB. You can find the links to it through DAC Main Page.

I always took them out into the desert and got them killed so I wouldn't have to worry about them in the Cathedral.

That's funny, he joined me too although I had killed him several times in Fallout. A ZOMBIE!

Clearly, your timeline was some sort of an alternate universe, like the kind quantum physicists talk about. One where the Vault Dweller was one evil sob, that killed helpless puppies and ate them, for no reason.

Once, in Fallout 2, I got Dogmeat and he died pretty soon. Then, I somehow found a second Cafe of Broken Dreams and got another Dogmeat.
It was cool.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Ow, that sucks. Special encounters shouldn't be gotten more than once. Add this to your box of suggestions, F. Urquhart!

The only random encounter I've found more than once was the Toxic Waste Dump. Of course I wondered if it happened because my character was jinxed & had absolutely no luck. Have never found repeating good random encounters.

I got the cafe of broken dreams a couple of hundred times. What's weird about this encounter is that it stays on the map...
If you encounter it again, it moves :P

Think of the possibilities.
A Dogmeat army roaming the lands bringing liberation and fleas to all it touches.

No, not at all. It was the same "cafe" that just moved. Dogmeat followed me, not the cafe and thus wasn't in the roaming cafe...
