No, it has no connection what so ever.

Yeah sure, Father Tully has the hintbook and the 8-ball says see Father Tully.

The 8-ball doesn't say anything about the hintbook now, does it?

And if your'e so sure why do you even ask?

As far as i'm concerned, i rarely even finish the game - Klamath, Den, maybe Redding and Modoc. Then, if you completed every avaliable quests in these towns, you're too strong and there are no real challenges for ya ha! :!:

Oh, so you kick enclave asses in your leather jacket and sawed shotgun? If it's too easy, raise the difficulty a notch and don't go get the APA right after Klamath.

Ever cleared out the Wanamingo mine unarmed with leather armor on level 5? Well, actually in that game i even killed horrigan in hth combat ALONE - but then i already had APA. And i never get it just after Klamath. It's usually when i complete just every quests i know. (not to mention that every time i play Fallout 2 i find something new, that i have never tried before) When i decide to go to Navarro, i have usually something like 25th exp. level and there is really nothing more to do.

I just prefer the beginning of the game - not the Temple of Trials, but Klamath, Den etc. - generally the northern part of the world map.

I'm a bit of the same, though I've never reached level 25 (well I think I never did... Id ont' even recall my levels usually)...

When I replay the game, I usually go all the way to NCR and then get bored... I hate it how the towns start getting "unfinished", starting with Broken Hills... That and NCR/v15/SF just have too good items...

Fallout 2 gets less interesting mid-game/late game. Fill-up locations like Redding and Broken hills can feel a bit frustrating, especially if you're re-playing. I enjoyed the later part in Fallout. Can't say the same about Fallout 2, there's just too many locations and a bit too much of everything.

My record is to get 60th level on random enconters (you get something like 25th level after completing every quest in the game - exept of the main one of course, so if you want to have more - then this way is the only one). Once it was funny, but now, when i start playing Fo2 again and again, i'm just trying to learn about this world as much as i can and think about what could possibly happen in the third eddition (oh GOD WHEN i'm asking WHEEEEHEEEHEHEEHHEHEHEEHEEEN!??!?!?!??!?!?! :drinking: ).

I don't really see the point in going up to level 60.

I mean, if you finished the quests go finish the game.

Going up to level 60 is pointless (even though I like raider encounters), and you won't, as you said, learn anything new about the game this way.

Well, i went up to level 60 just for fun, and to see how fast is it possible to wipe out Enclavers. It's really spacious game and noone knows everything about it.

Ehh, once you've read the handbook Father Tully gives your char is practically finished. Cept for some hitpoints you get by levelling up, though there's unlimited exp. bugs to take care of that.

The game can never be to easy. Boring? Yes. Easy? No.

I prefer the northern parts of Fallout 2 as well...feels more fallouty.

if they make FO3, you should level faster, be able to get 400% skills without penaltys until 200% (they will make 400% like 300%, so you arent superman/woman)
and you should get perks that benifit you later when you are low. and level 50 should be like level 25, it should be easyer to level.

i like the den and klamath and such because you actually pick up everything, just to get cash. but later in the game, you start discarding everything, because 1 plasma rifle is equal to like 25 10mm pistols.

so far im liking the FO2 patch thing that messes everthing up, cause its more challenging.
