Somebody made a Wasteland total conversion using the FOT engine
a couple of years ago.
Was fun.

Anybody know where I can find it again?
The HD it was on is kaput.

Even a tactical Fallout game with no turn-based elements at all would be fun if they did it right. (Don't get any bright ideas Bethesucks) And as long as its not first-person. Please GOD NO FIRST-PERSON POV!!!! Turn-based is dead to these people. There is no way this game will ever be turn-based! It doesn't sell. Pray for third-person..

D-ev's Ex Machina

Rogue nukes, pandemic influenza's may come and go.

Too late. Bethesda dev's will be leveling up THIS MAGIC MOMENT!

And like any Magic Moment [ ... so different and SO new ... ] they will be enabling a NEW FO 3 PERK!

-------- The MCA Memorial Calculated Amnesia Perk. ---------

This will give them a rich mellow radio voice, AND the ability TO CLOUD MEN-Z MINDS!

Just as the Be-Zenimax [3rd party] Action Groups are hard selling Oblivion on all media fronts. The semantic control of game focus groups will dominate the conscious and UNconscious struggle for ''Fallout Values''.

[Chant: "All your RPG's belong to us'']

Not only will they ''control the vertical and the horizontal'' , but your screen resolution, your nex- MB/CPU/OS upgrade, your tire rotation pattern, and the gender - species of your nex - gen conceived child.

Under this dominant Shadow, they will evoke the power to define what a RPG IS.

The Bethesda version will become the POLITICALLY and thus COMMERCIALLY CORRECT vision of RPG.

[Chant: "All your RPG's belong to us'']

Our tribal wandering in the Wasteland will end when we piss on that newly
activated electric security fence.
Shocked into amnesia,
Locked in Oblivion Prison,we will be reeducated.
Socially engineered by low post count spambots. whining about via Radiant AI,
clueless that this is a resurrected, regurgitated VB plot device,
our core values will submit to the Bethesda political action groups.
Core values hammered and sickled into THE pan ultimate consumer hive mind obedience.

Branded by brand obedience.
Forehead tattooed with copy protection registration number.
The mark up of the Beast.
These are the last daze.
The Anti-Fallout lurks in the soulless, caucasian corporate dollar generators that will rule what we eat, breathe, and THINK.

[Chant: "All your RPG's belong to us'']

Rogue nukes, pandemic influenza's may come and go.
AND.
Bethesda - Zenimax mind control will always shape the shadows of our collective RPG mind.
The 'Once and Future' FO3.

[Chant: "All your RPG's belong to us'']

My candidate for FO 3 pwn-age.

Don't Be Hated, Be Obliterated!

[Audio: Whispered chant, MCA, MCA, MCA, .... M ... Cee ...AAAAAhhh ]

[Visual: Blinding white flash. FO desktop wallpaper morphs to Oblivion splash screen,]
[Audio: Mark Morris ambient mp3 "Redding"" , then white noise shock , then Lord Of the Rings Wannabe symphonic.]

What were we talking about?

Cool RPG Dialogue? Oblivion already has all the ''tastiest'' mouthings that will ever bless our muzzles!
Simulated Radiant Discourse:
Man: "Good day to you, good citizen!"
Woman: "Hail to you!"
Man: "I hear the Fighter's Guild is recruiting."
Woman: "Oh, long may they reign!"
Man: "Farewell to you."
Woman: "Goodbye!"
'Man: '"I hear the Fighter's Guild is recruiting."''

... That's so cool we should all, just, glow in giddy gushes of puerile pander-ment.

In fact if we all put it in our sig's we won't need:
"" ... 47 mies of barbered wire, and a cobra snake for a neck tie ... "'
to let this whole wonderful, warming, planet KNOW "'Who Do You LUV ''!!

'Man: '"I hear the Fighter's Guild is recruiting."''

Hey Dick, I'll give it a '78' 'cause it's gotta beat ya can dance, dance to.

Wholly smoke stack lightnin' ..... What were we talking about?

Forgot.

Not really a problem, just make maps of each area and populate them
with whatever enemies from FoT are closest.
You could do dialogue and stat checks and stuff.
And you could add text blocks in the same places.
And you could just add the "Paragraphs" booklet descriptions to the
text box as well.

So really not that hard except linking the areas together.

But I'm sure as fuck not going to do it.

Maybe we can get those hispanic guys to do it if we didn't piss 'em off too
much.

yea but that's more like making the game anew and not just replacing its engine.
