So what would you do if you suddently woke up one morning on the pavement somewhere in the town you are now in - but the year is 1984?

and yes, you do explode in a giant fireball if you alter the history so that you wouldn't be born, etc.

but telling the goverment about stuff like who really was 'Deeptroath' and the coming 9/11 attack wont make you explode, more likely they will put you in a mental institution..

Tell you what i would do, i would go fuck your mothers so you had to call me dad

- but then, id probably hit your moma in the stomach so you didnt got to live at all.

Anyhow, what? what would you do?

If I appeared without anything, I'd first try to survive. Then use my 2005 "powers" to get money and build an empire and have fun with all the things I missed in the 80's and do good before the bad happens.

I'd also go into politics later with my knowledge of the future.

Yes, because you can't just go "HEY EVERYONE I'VE INVENTED VIAGRA" (the only notable invention of the past 20 years) because then you actually have to produce the Viagra and you have no goddamn clue what's in Viagra or how it works. You might get the patents that explain how to make Viagra, but then you wouldn't know to get the patents today for your unexpected trip tomorrow, and besides, the patent wouldn't make sense to you.

Therefore, you are clearly doomed.

Oh, and I would probably buy a truckload of guns that are now collector's pieces cause they aren't being made anymore, so that I can sell them later at 400% markup.
