Fallout problem D:

Okay, I installed FO1, everything's fine until I hit the main menu, after the intro movie. The screen is all black. Moving the mouse removes the black to reveal the screen, so it's not too bad, but it's really annoying.

It's a problem that happens in F1 and F2 under Windows XP. And there ain't nothing you can do to stop it. Also expect the screen to turn black randomly during gameplay as well.

I used to have the same problem and it pissed me off, prevented me from getting into the game until I reinstalled my video drivers. After that the only time it happens is if I switch back to Windows for something and immediately after it will go black, talking to someone or looking at your stats fixes the problem.

If that doesn't fix it then it's because you're black, in which case pawn your computer because black people aren't allowed to own them.

Sometimes happens to me as well, did this under Windows 98, 2k and XP. So I guess it's not windows-related in any way? It's annoying, I admit, but it's quite rare & besides you can get rid of it by going to the character screen and back or something (quick key
'C')...
