Two Worlds

Yeah, yeah, I know its an X-box game and we all love the consoles here *COUGH*, but saw this and the name dropping of "fallout" was wondering if anyone had heard of it.

http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1425/Two-Worlds/

has the following quote:

"Two Worlds combines the extremely dynamic and sophisticated combat system best known from the top selling “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic with the meaning and freedom of the acclaimed “Fallout“ series."

Given the dread of the new FO3, maybe something to look forward to?

Well if you can look beyond the console (which could work if someone actually does it right).

I personally didn't like the automated combat in KOTOR, but at least they're trying to add some meaningful choices to the game. The description says it's for PC but the platform states XBOX 360, which one is it then?

And there's dragons!

Actually, this game is not only an console game. It is made for the PC, too. If you go here

http://board.zuxxez.com/forumdisplay.php?f=121

you can see this for yourself.

And if go you here

http://board.zuxxez.com/forumdisplay.php?f=135

you can see for yourself that this game also if XP and Vista on the PC. (no linux or mac version, though).

If you go here

http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1815

you can see some of the impressions from the German forums

One of the impressions is that some people didn't like the fact the game seems a bit hard at first. In the linked rpgwatch thread, one the players had to fight a cyclops 20 or so times, but the cyclops finally did hit the dust, it rewarded the player with a fairly rare & powerfull item.

Here's Geist's final comment on the game

"...it has a greater emphasis on story, more interesting and better developed main characters, and a more rewarding leveling system than either of those games.* For me, it probably won't make up for the immense disappointment of Oblivion and Gothic 3, but I predict, I'll probably enjoy it more than those two games." (* either games being Oblivion and Gothic 3).

And according the offical website, the console version had been delayed until the end of June, I think...

Ill wait til its released.

If it REALLY has the freedom of FO then it will be good, as even KOTOR2 woulda been great if your choices had matterd.

"Two Worlds combines the extremely dynamic and sophisticated combat system best known from the top selling “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
That doesn't even make sense.
