Hmmm?
You know, seems like this same sort of shit recently went on with Deus Ex 2. The numeric scores for the game weren't bad, weren't bad at all. But then you read the text of the reviews, and hear about: non existant AI, poor damage modeling, boring dialog, short playlength, and other sorts of similar ...

Bewbs?
But the real question to ask, the real point to consider is: how many pairs of big jubbly tits did the game have? Otherwise, what difference does it make?

Sky?
I noticed that the sky is 'clear blue' in those first two shots...are you going to have any sort of sky/skybox, or just a shading of the color relating to the time of day, or...? Very nice screenshots -- I'm DEFINATELY looking forward to seeing more, especially when you get some more 'things' there ...

To Franz
You have to go back and see 'the whole story'. With Fallout 2, they had many bumps in the road during developement, not the least of which was the programmer who made/knew the engine for it, left. If memory serves, they had one guy who kind of knew the engine at that point, and admidst bugs, scripti...

What a damn shame.
I just hate when a company who used to deliver such excellence, is now scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Intriguing
Interesting screenshots -- my only real criticism would be that with the look of the sky, the lighting shouldn't be quite so bright/uniform, and with perhaps a gloomier orangish tint...

Lucifer's Hammer
Good post apoc setting -- something like the aftermath of an asteriod(s) like in the book 'Lucifer's Hammer'.
Also, I think something along the lines of the 3+ books in 'The Stones of Power'' (the David Gemell books about Jon Shannow) would be REALLY interesting/fun as well.

Silent Storm
Even if the WW2 might not "grab you" -- get the demo! It is very fun, tons of tactics, GREAT turn based combat, lots of combat options, etc. If only Fallout 3 could be with slightly simplified combat 'stats' and with the RPG elements, like this game... *sigh* Seriously though, the Silent S...

Moving away -- good
If they do move away from California -- I don't mind a bit. I think that it's a rather good idea to move away from Cali and the 'Vault Dweller' lineage therein.

Bags?
The first Fallout HAD containers you could carry, and I'd always spend all this time sorting and meticulously arranging supplies in my ammo bag, drug bag, explosive bag, etc. I liked the little cases for carrying stuff. And honestly, that's what it comes down to -- I always envisioned that, if my ch...

Don't forget...
Don't forget the ability to tag a skill later in the game. Start the game with unarmed, and then whatever else (non combat) skills... let's say...steal and barter, for example. As you play (and/or perhaps get Sulik or Cassidy or whoever to follow you), you get your melee skills up to about 120 perce...

Zombie
The best part of the game is that you used the AWESOME intro/theme score from "Zombie", and the great screaming sound when you get eaten.
I had to play/die at least 5 times before I got tired of it.

Laziness?
Here's my take on the issue: For the amount of work that it would take to implement the other playable races, they didn't believe that it was a 'strong enough' feature to entice the players (especially the hardcore Fallout audience)? Thus, for all the modeling/clipping/animating work that needed to ...

Re: SDK
So, Valve > IPLY/BIS? A game company's really gotsta care about the fanbase in order to do something like that, I reckon. In some ways, they very well may be. From what I can tell, Valve loves their MOD community. Not only because they get a chance to see what great games 'underdogs' can make, but,...
