It wasn't even all 50's to begin with, there's quite a large helping of Mad Max, stylistically. Obviously the leather jackets, the mohawks, the whole general post-apoc atomsphere was more heavily influenced by the road warrior than anything 50's sci fi, i would think too. Good grief, if green mohaw...

Cool story. Very mature sounding compared to lots of other fanfic. Perhaps a bit overdramatic at times, but maybe it was intentional and either way, you probably spotted it yourself too.
