Given that I like to travel, I would probably accept their mission, as a chance to get out of my boring vault/village. Would likely join caravans on the assumption that they are a safer way to travel, and probably die fairly quickly as a result. If I lived long enough to see a ghoul or super-mutant,...

You got it right Kash. The whole point of this law was to serve as a first step leading to more restrictive gun bans later. Anti-gun organizations said as much at the time. Ironically passage of this law inflamed the pro-gun community so much that it lead to the Democrats losing control of the U.S. ...

I did some playtesting on this topic. The human brain is not bad, it has slurred speech but fights decently, at least with the combat shotgun. The chimp brain doesn't talk, but it will also fight with the shotgun, perhaps less accurately than the human brain. The abnormal brain is about useless. It ...

Why is the temple of trials such a big deal? You can just run through it, and steal the key from the guy guarding the exit. You might have to stab/kick a few ants on the way, but so what?

A single new feature? I would like caravans that are unbuggy and more important to the game than just a (supposedly) safer way to travel through the wastes. It seems to me that in a post-apoc setting caravans would be much more important than the rather limited treatment they received in F1 and F2. ...

I've kind of lost my taste for beer the past couple of years. My average week's consumption of whiskey would be about 15-18 shots of 80 proof(= 40%). Canadian Club, George Dickel, Weller, Crown Royal, Maker's Mark, whatever's on sale.

It does kind of desensitize you to nuclear explosions.

I saw it yesterday. Tend to agree with WW, it wasn't great, but not that bad either. The humans died too fast and early, the escape from your basic nuclear explosion was a "bit" hard to believe, and the "surprises" at the end were SO predictable. Still it was relatively entertain...

Isn't this speedrun strategy stuff similar to that old thread about a "gr8 way to start FO2"? It somehow seems so...wrong... to play this way. :sadblinky:

Originally I didn't use any drugs, except stimpaks. When I started playing some hardcore games I began using a combo of Psycho, Buffouts and Mentats when entering a tough combat area, or when surprised by a nasty random encounter. Never used Jet much, but my characters usually have a lot of action p...

Sometimes I enjoy just exploring the map, meeting people and looking for stuff. Enjoying the post-apoc atmosphere, not really focused on the main mission. Makes a nice change from the "driven to save the vault(village)" type of game.
