I was thinking that. Undecided if it'd be a good thing or not...
Hope this all isn't true though. If it is, might as well pack it in as an RPG player.

how about no main plot? how about just starting of as anyone and do whatever you like, start a Decker-style buisniss, just walk around as a mysterius stranger Mad Max-style, start a raider clan, run around as a do-gooder, no big enimy end boss...?? I dunno, I'm just tossing around ideas... :drunk: ...

I'd rather see something set sometime between the first two games, and somewhere else in the country. Really, as little involvement in the previous storylines as possible. Certainly not another vault dweller descendant. And as I've mentioned before, I love the idea of it being set in a city's ruins ...

Eh? My bad then. I don't know much about the geography of the US, and I thought that the entire US in FO was basically one giant wasteland with some mountains thrown in for good measure. Take a look here for what that part of the country looks like now . No nuclear apocalypse needed. :) I can't rea...

Why Denver? Denver is boring. How about Las Vegas, because the outskirts of Vegas are desert regions much like the northern California regions in FO1/2 Without shipping other area's water in, the city itself would be the same desert. It may be fun to visit and gamble there in real-life, but I have ...

I think it meast the exact opposite- they're still planning, or haven't even started.

I hope this part of the game is well-developed, as I'm a big fan of the 'living world' concept in games, where you can ignore the main plot and enjoy the game doing whatever you want. It's something I wouldn't mind seeing in Fallout 3, actually (along with TURN-BASED COMBAT). Most all...

Pete Hines has responded to the recent speculations about Fallout 3 being a survival horror game in a quote (emailed to me) that should put to rest all the speculation:
There's a very big difference between direct quotes from us, and assumptions on the part of a game mag...

I don't think the officials in North Korea would let anyone near that site where the explosion was reported. They would just rather lie than get caught with their hands in a cookie jar that happens to be labeled NUKES. Damn lying assholes always trying to cover up something as obvious as that. I gu...

The Matrix always seemed like a stand alone movie to me. I was frankly shocked when I learned they were making sequels. Same here. I really like walking away from a movie thinking and talking about what happened. What really happended. What it means. Whatever. And the Matrix was one of those movies...

There's just little point in even considering sprite based graphics, with Bethesda in charge... I don't think there'd be a point with anyone in charge. :) As much as the thought of a hand drawn/animated FO makes me drool, I can't even come close to imagining something like that released today. And ...

I don't know why any developer would start talking about their ideas for a game, and then make it appear as though it was written in stone. Three ambiguous sentences and you're talking about people's worst fears being 'set in stone'. Chill out hun. :chick: Nothing's written in stone untill the game...
