Re: Fargo Confirms It!
I am indeed looking into bringing back the game that spawned the Fallout series. Stay tuned.... I assume this means that he's trying to get someone to finance the game while still retaining crucial oldschool qualities, and that it's not been happening since he got hold of the license back in 2003. ...

Finding tiles in the Fallout 2 Mapper
I started up the Fallout 2 Mapper to see if it would be too difficult for me to use, and I suppose that it is. But I could be mistaken. Is there an easier way to find tiles than to click 200+ times on the double arrow buttons? I read something about setting bookmarks, which I suppose would be helpfu...

Say it's china, they have crappy versions of old russian tanks that would be easy to hang on to.(they're full of handholds for carrying infantry) Uh, so the tactic would be to hang on to the tank and shoot anyone trying to get out? Wouldn't that be rather easily countered by the crew driving the ta...

This is seriously cool from a FO prespective, it shows that in a post nuculear devastated area (or a fucked up place like Afrika) that common items can suddenly become valuble. Well, at least if the value of that common item is supported by a company. Unless a currency has a lot of intrinsic value,...

Bottlecaps in Cameroon
Apparently they're being used as currency, so I figured that I'd mention it.

I didn't feel very lonely in Fallout, and I could see how an MMORPG in that world might seem attractive. But since every little settlement is going to have a bunch of guys running around in power armours while lugging heavy energy weapons, any kind of Fallout atmosphere is going to be turned into a ...

I suppose that for most males roleplaying is some kind of dirty, dirty secret that must be contained to a computer or to books which can be hidden from view whenever a 'normal' person comes by. Because it is definitely 'gay' to let people catch you while you are dressed up and trying to be serious. ...

Except for the growing shadows and the post-apocalyptic theme it looked like NWN to me, especially when the view switched to first person (what with the visible 'outside of area' void). The jerky motions when the camera was turning didn't impress me at all, and I would've expected smoother camera mo...

I still have fond memories of tanks and legions mixing it up in the first Civilization, when technology could vary wildly between different civilizations. I also really enjoyed the early game in Civilization II, but I could never teach the AI to cut down jungle in order to increase the arable land a...

I think it might be interesting to have a mod like this as a base for storybased quests where you may have to wander the wastes with a purpose rather than just to look for things to kill. I also think that unless someone finishes a storybased Fallout mod, the existence of this mod indicates that a M...
