But that church/temple(?) looks nice though! I'd really have to agree here. I thought the architecture in Arcanum was pretty spectacular (my jaw almost dropped the first time I crossed the bridge to Tarant - all that detail!), and I really haven't seen anything that comes close to the overall struc...

And I was hoping they'd stick with the Quake 3 models! No you weren't. As someone who's attempted to work with the Quake 3 format (both as a modeller and later programmer) I can tell you it's good for only one thing: Quake 3. It blows major goat body parts when it comes to other game styles. Segmen...

Re: Arcanum's flaws
First, the dialog. I was kind of annoyed by the style of dialog in the game. Everyone was too damn polite and wordy. I don't have anything against developed vocabularies, but it got a little annoying eventually. Well, you obviously didn't start out the game with a half-ogre of 3 intelligence =] Com...

I think it's a matter of perspective
I've just beaten Gothic several days ago (lucky me, now I only have to wait three months for the sequel!), and the combat system really impressed me. It really is nothing amazing - a 3d person view beat-em-up, but it's very polished. They've abstracted the combat interface by key combinations (altho...

Street Fighter,
Just because Van Dam's "martial arts" choreography is actually acceptable, unlike Mortal Combat's and their ilk, which just makes me want to spontaneously launch into uncontrollable projectile vomiting. That, and the game didn't have too many aspects to it that an action movie could disapp...

Considering the situation Interplay is in, it's probably a last ditch effort by both companies. Since the new Macplay probably retained exclusive rights for a Fallout port to the Mac, they're probably going to exercise them now to make some quick dough before Interplay goes under and takes the franc...
