Spud died very shortly after FO1 was shipped. We were all very sad and also afraid to touch him, in case he was faking it. Eventually I picked him up, decided against a burial at sea (he was a big scorpion) and instead tossed him in the dumpster behind Interplay. Thanks for dragging out painful memo...

Re: A merry belated holiday-thing to you all!

Wif a cable I am a Luddite. Is it possible for me to transfer it into my cell phone without a cable? I have a Nokia 8290, if it makes a difference. While I'm asking, does anyone know where to get a ringtone that sounds like the phone in Our Man Flint? You know, that crazy red phone that the preside...

I successfully visited RPG Codex the day SP announced it. However, when I try to go to RPG Codex today, I get a warning about an unsafe certificate from ensim.rackshack.net. I tell it not to accept the certificate and so I cannot visit the site.

Damn, SP, I already have some NPC's that you can beat on until they give up, but now it will look like your idea.

And yes, Pastorius, my notebook is primed and ready!

ps. Doyle, I wear pants! I do!

OTB, that's a good idea, the idiosyncratic behaviours. Really good. I could code that. I may have already coded that. I will code that.

straw draw

I always thought of Fallout's story of drawing straws was something the Overseer thought of. "Look, someone has to go outside, and they may die out there, so let's draw straws". Someone, probably not the Overseer since he wouldn't have gone outside no matter what, demanded that EVERYONE dr...

Well, as Spazmo said, I apparently am busy saving myself from desert raiders. Then, rather than returning home to Shady Sands, I will drag myself all over the wasteland until an untimely death due to radiation in the Glow. Or perhaps I will walk through a force field in the military base. Or I get s...

*waves to Chris*

I suppose the burning question is what did Chris think of the poodle launcher as a secret weapon? :P

Tim, I realize this is off topic, but why did you decide to go with a 10mm "standard" instead of .45, which would seem like the more logical choice? Chris Taylor handled all the gun stuff. I really know very little about them. And you are talking to the man whose first rocket launcher in ...

The Burrows

Now that you have read the Burrows design document, do you think it should have been left in FO? Removing this area was a bit controversial at the time, and not everyone thought it should be removed. I felt it was well-written, better even than some of the areas that eventually made it into the game...

Happy Birthday Killzig!

You share a birthday with Jesse Reynolds. We are having some cake today at Troika, and I will eat an extra slice for you.

:D

Tim.

p.s. Wow, it says Supreme Fallout Commander under my name! Damn, I am going to eat two extra slices!

That's exactly right. These images are for GURPS advantages and disadvantages. I think the one above is for the Appearance (horrific) disadvantage.

unused pics

These pics were leftover from when Fallout was GURPS. If I sat down with my Basic Set, I could probably identify all of them. It's amazing though, how much I still laugh at these. T. Ray was a genius. Tim. p.s. Many people seem to think this is the PipBoy, but this is the FalloutBoy character. The P...
