I want to know, why wasn't this e-mail a seperate news item? This is important news dammit! Put it on the front page!!

Perhaps he plans to fuck over the community!? I think this is all part of Interplay's larger plan to fuck us all completely.

I'm assuming it's to make a profit for the company, so some people can feed their families.

But hey, maybe that's just part of the goal.
Unfortunately, for profit to happen, they need sales. Half-ass doesn't sell well, especially when it's a crappy Interplay title. Their games are known in the industry now (widely) for barely being able to work out of the box, much less have any stellar quality, and aren't supported. Hey, if you have a technical problem, just pray that shit is resolved in the patch they release.

For some reason, they aren't too liked by console gamers, either. I wonder why...

They promise to spend only a year on this title - only a year less than the original Descent to Undermountain!

To clear up any confusion

Post by Wolfman Walt »

This email was from the Interplay webmaster, not Chuck, he has yet to reply to it and at this point I doubt he will. I sent off another email early this morning so if I receive a reply, Duck and Cover will be the first to know. Just as a quick question, has anyone actually tried calling Chuck? If I get enough time, I'll definetly try it, but I just wanna know if anyone else has had any luck.

Edit
Oh and I have no problem seeing the letter on the front page =D

Just lending a hand

Just proud to help out the Fallout community, especially since I do not wish to see my favorite gaming franchise die out due to some idiots who want to start corporate scheming.

Because some people find it confusing to have too many threads dealing with the same base subject.

Well, you can say one thing about FOBOS: it really has brought the community together. Most of the time, we're all arguing about this and that and how Tactics was good and how no, it was crap and so on and so forth. But right here, right now, we can all agree that we're mad as hell, and for once, we're all mad at the same people.

So what's the lesson here? Well, when dealing with the Fallout community, hate (of Interplay) unites us while love (of the same) creates division and infighting.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Well, then, it all makes sense.

You got the fellow who puts this crap online, they have no clue about game design or market strategy required and neither require one to do their job.

They certainly make IPLY look more stupid, however.

I didn't think that was possible, but you never know what Interplay's going to come up with next.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure it's TechWiz that wrote that. I can't picture Krazikat or Slyle writing that email.

I wonder how Iplay picks their forum admins or moderators. What was TechWiz's reasons for banning people again?

I think his reason for banning people is that he has to moderate a forum for a shit title no one wants, but he has to make it look like people want it before the inevitable lay offs come around.

True, it wouldn't be like them.

From what I've seen of this "TechWiz", it does fit the bill.

My thinking exactly.

What is he worried about, then? According to him he owns two businesses and his moderating is just something he does while he waits for code to compile...

I tell you, reading that post of his over on the IPLY forums made me wish that I was the woman in his bedroom...rolling around at night w/him in his hyooj pile o' ph47 13w7...

Or maybe not...
