That Mike post is starting to actually annoy me

I read posts from people who make intelligent posts and then have to suffer through a multitude of sheep who bleat the same tired old platitudes... they don't think... they perform kneejerk reactions... all this because of one game that isn't even advanced enough to have more than 6 screenshots and a basic story perameter. And to anyone who tells me... "you don't have to read them"... you are right... but I want to follow the thread so I can be informed and post something informed.
One thing I have to say here, I haven't felt unwelcomed at any point of me being ((ofcourse, it could be just a delayed affect, however I doubt it)). I'm also pretty sure that whoever got called an idiot deserved it on some level. Knowing my luck, his definition of intelligence includes people who are l33t h4x0r {yl83r l\l1l\lJ4's.....crap I just proved him right by insulting him >_<. Also, isn't it allitle presumptious that Fallout doesn't need Roshambo and Saint? I mean really, last I checked no one's clairvoyance abilities were that great....and if someone does have great abilities in this area, don't feel offended, cause you saw that coming, right?
mike wrote: Maybe Interplay should be ashamed for ignoring the Fallout fanbase...
I don't think the word "ashamed" is applicable here. They obviousily aren't showing much remorse for completely ignoring the fanbase.

mike wrote: but so what... they are a company... they make decisions tha aren't popular but it is all about survival... if they had scads of cash... they could make games because it appealed to them in more than a financial manner.
The so what is that their ruining not only their fanbases' faith in Fallout, but the product in general. I believe a decision that would allow survival and popularity would be called a ::scoff:: compromise. Lastly, perhaps if they didn't make quick pieces of trash and listened to their fan's, they might not have this problem.
mike wrote: But they don't... everyone is quite happy wishing them to burn and crash and die...
They seem quite content on killing one of my favorite past-times, so sure why not?
mike wrote: and damn the thought that another proper Fallout title might be made...
I believe it was damned when decisions like BOS were made.
mike wrote: at least we the loyal fans got to *beep* on the giant as it goes down... all you 'fans' who did this... thank the Saint and Roshambo for twisting the perspective of reality with their half truths, innuendoes and intimidation.
I really haven't seen much to the contrary and it's not like Interplay has REALLY said anything outside of one email which the Interplay WEBMASTER sent me, so really, it kinda leaves me inclined to believe my own research as well as Saint's and Roshambo's over any sort of marketing scheme/optimist's wish for the real argument to go away.

And so I bid you adieu and remember, we hate you almost as much as Interplay does =D, wether you know it or not Mike.
Harriers for the cup.

Especially given their newest announced title:

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, The Shit Heard 'Round the Gaming World.
Obsidian:
Now working on Fallout: New Undermountain!

They promise to spend only a year on this title - only a year less than the original Descent to Undermountain!

BG-DA Surplus for PS2

Post by 4too »

Saw the PS2 version of BG-DA at $20, bargain bin pricing, about the time the Xbox version was announced. I assumed it was a who'saler/reta'ler push to get the title out into machines, a last shot on creating a "buzz" at a grass roots level. Clearing the title off the PS2 racks so it would stand out on the Xbox shelves.

Didn't think it was because of a surplus in six figures.

BG-DA was a credible game. (No "in" implied tho'.) Playable inspite of the jumping puzzles, and having the babe run around without armour, a thong bikini, is what the 'kids' were doing when grandma left the room. Until serious monsters demanded some modesty, it gave'em a taste of the M rated titles, with or without the chunky gibbs of gore. Brass bikini's and bronze BVD's, the fantasy market will always draw on those ol' pulp novel cover illustrations......

I think a lot of stocking may now be a "just in time' affair. So it may not have been 1 or 2 units spread out over 50,000 reta'lers. Computer tracking of inventory would have been feeding the market'eers data pool, and I bet they had 4-D graphic spread sheet projecting the accelerated rate of profit. High tech trajectory stuff, should have had market'eers plot those failed NASA Mars satillite explode'ations. Bet they wouldn't have mixed their metric and American Standard units, unless it was on purpose.

I quess selling short/or dumping at $20 is healthier than 'eating' a "legacy" product. Might be a tax advantage too, if they are not totally off shore like most of the elite 'smart money' these days.

A post by 4too that doesn't require some deciphering.

I don't blame them for banning Proverbius
