Quite frankly I'd like them to dissociate as much as possible from the original Fallout since then we could put FOBOS as some weird oddity no one really ever wanted to play...

I still wonder why people are still asking stuff like "why did IPLY do that", "why did they do this", etc. We ALL KNOW we'll never ever get any answers, since they seem to be ruled by some sort of madman(madmen?). All this sounds like some bad fantasy game (NWN, BG or Morrowind) in which a freak takes control over some sort of guild, start his cult and conquer the world (shit, that sounds like FO story too).

This remembers me of Bungie. You know thta little company, they developped games such as Marathon, Myth and Halo. In their company description, it said they wanted to conquer the world.

Microsoft bought them about 2 years ago.

Maybe Apple's gonna buy Interplay?

Aw, but the pirates were the best part. Looks like I'll just have to drink rum by the barrel load and heartily shout "Yarr!" whenever I shoot a ghoul. Those damn mutant freaks. They deserve to die. I'm glad we're now encouraged to shoot and first ask questions later. It gets rid of all that silly moral and ethical stuff that I'd rather remain blissfully ignorant of. Whoops, better stop typing now. I've got to watch this Pepsi ad to make sure I fit in with those depicted in it.

Well, look at it this way. Interplay's pretty damned freaked out about the negative reaction about this title. We know a bunch of them freaked out when Chucky's voice mail filled up and when his email was bombarded by angry mail from Fallout fans. They cracked down on the negativity on the forum by deleting posts, censoring posts, banning people, and so on. They changed the screenshots from THONGED WARRIOR BABES to the whole POWAH RANGAH/MEGAMAN shots we're seeing now. Now they're changing the logo of the game.

So, basically, they're on the run. That's a good thing. All we need to do is put more pressure on them.

Good lad, that Saint Proverbious. He's fighting the good war back at home while I'm away punching holes in water and sleeping with foriegn wenches.

I wholeheartedly expect Interplay to change their blurb again and maybe switch back to their old logo just because someone called them on it. Bunch of petulant bitches; Just because we know what they're doing while they're doing it, they're going to shit on Fallout just on general principle.

Either force them to make Fallout 3 or eat hot flaming bankrupcy.

Only problem : when they get their heads out of their asses, they're gonna hide their heads in OUR asses.

And we are fucked. We'll never get anything good again from Interplay.

Too bad we haven't seen anything good from Interplay in a while as it is. Over a year, or more.
Obsidian:
Now working on Fallout: New Undermountain!

They promise to spend only a year on this title - only a year less than the original Descent to Undermountain!

Interplay is apparently making a sequel for BG:DA. The original BG:DA wasn't exactly a hit, but that just proves how stupid IPLY is to get some quick cash. Not that I'd care about BG anyways, but I think it's sad the Fallout franchise gets raped the same way.

Depends on who you listen to. Interplay's press releases like to claim it has "OVER 500,000 COPIES SOLD!!!!111!" but the truth of the matter is, they shipped 500,000+ and they've sold about 320,000. Maybe they can dump the excess along with Atari's ET game in Mexico.

As far as Interplay goes though, 300,000+ is pretty big. If you think they're fucked now, wait until they lose the D&D license which is almost certainly responsible for about 275,000 BGDA sales.

Yeah, Interplay is very dependant of their RPG(that means their D&D titles) sales. When the license expires they'd have to come up with something original. Now, IPLY hasn't been original for over 5 years so it's pretty obvious that they try to milk the D&D license as much as possible. When does their license expire, by the way? Or is based on the amount of D&D games they make?

Keep in mind that BG:DA was released and published under Black Isle Studios, Fallout Enforcer isn't. I'd be willing to bet there's even less roelplaink involved considering they're not even bothering to involve their RPG division in it.

No, they shipped 500k of the PS/2 version, and didn't even hit 300k sales for the PS/2. The X-Box version, no telling how many units of that shipped, only sold 19k.

OMG I hope interplay bring back 'Pirates', kick out the fallout stuff... and the Post-Apoc setting...

They might sell a copy that way...

I'm suprised that they haven't used a skull and crossbones logo, with the slogan 'Sinking the Fallout franchise since Fallout Tactics'

They decided to change the Brotherhood logo to two guns and use it as the game logo.

The new radioactive logo can't possibly be the Brotherhood's logo, right?

I mean, they stupidly changed the brother hood, ok.
Now that they changed it again, they changed it to a logo there is no way the brotherhood are using.

It doesn't make any sense anyway. You can't take a world-wide logo for radiation, flip it to one side then write FALLOUT BOSS! on it. This is probably for the box-art.
