Extremely Dark.

Post by Sankis »

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where else to post it, considering it is in regards to Fallout 2.

Ok, here is my problem. About a month ago, I bought a Geforce 2 MX 200 to replace my Voodoo 3 3000. It was all fine and good until I realize it made fallout 2 *extremely* dark. Its unplayable like this. I tried to download a program to raise the gamma but it only seems to work with the Desktop, and not applications. There also does not seem to be any kind of gamma raiser in my moniter settings like my old Voodoo had.

Any help? :/ Thanks...

Try adjusting monitor brightness + download the latest drivers from NVidia homepage and try adjusting gamma with them.

Should work.

Not to mention Fallout has a gamma setting in it's options...

But I have a gf2mx and everything's fine here (without fiddling with anything) so that's a bit weird. using 40.09 drivers - I remember a specific version caused me trouble a while back though, can't remember if it was in the 2.x or 3.x detonator series...
