Well now this is odd

Post by Wolfman Walt »

For some strange reason, the skilldex button to access my skills has dissapeared. Seriousily, it just up and disapeared after I finished the fight with Lo Pan. I mean, it's not THAT much of a problem since there are other ways to access your skills ((holding the mouse button down, hotkeys, etc)), but it's still a very...odd annoyance. At first I thought it was just something within that specific save but when I load it up, it's in EVERY save. For prosteriety, I didn't try afew incase it corrupts save games or something. Has me baffled...hmmm this happened to anyone before?

i wont be much help but i do remember having that happen to me before in the same part of the game - or something similar anyway. The way i remember it the image for the button wasn't there but when i quit the game and loaded up a previous save it was fixed so i guess not much help sorry

have you tryed clicking on the space where it should be seeing if it still works?

That usually happens when you have too many items on the map. Try to find a savegame before you enter that map and leave some items elsewhere (wether it be items in the car, on you or on NPCs).

yup, that's it, that's the too many items-bug. Happens to me all the time - haven't had any probs with this bug though, it only seems to mess up the skill-index button.
Bombs are not the answer - yes is........

Thing is that if it gets worst the game will ALWAYS crash when you leave an area... So take this as a first warning to cool it with items :P

I got the same thing. A little X over the box. It fixed when I rebooted, I think.

The black box? yeah, I've got that one. I don't know how it is item related, since I'm 100% sure I didn't have too many items on the map when I had this. My inventory had only money, one weapon, armor and ammo for the weapon. My can trunk was empty. Had it after finishing Lo Pan. Strange thing, but went away after reboot.

Hmm happened to me also right after I defeated Lo Pan. Perhaps another bug. I'm pretty sure I didn't have too many items on the map as well. Maybe I'll mess around with this abit more.

One of the glitches I encountered was one of the fights never ended. I ended up killing one of the guys and then that was it....I became a spectical for all of San Fran to see. Guess it's there trap to make a human zoo. I was kinda hoping I'de see this on the outside of my cage/ring.

I think the sign is actually Chinese, I'm not too sure really. This just in! another sign has been posted next to my cage/ring

As for the fact that it's poorly translated...it lies in the way Asians order their sentences. It makes teaching yourself an asian langauge of ANY sort a real pain in the ass. Unfortunetly, it also apperantly works vice versa as theres lots of problems changing from an asian language to an English one.

Not Chinese. Looks more like Japanese or Korean. Chinese tends to have a more "straight" edge to the characters as opposed to the more rounded edges of Japanese and Korean.

You're right, it's Japanese, not Chinese. Sorry for the mix-up. I thought it was Chinese for some unknown reason, but looking at it closer it's Japanese because Korean's write differantly and use differant symbols.
