Lottery fantasy

Post by Stevie D »

Anyone ever day-dreamed about winning the lottery (or whatever passes for it in your country), having more than enough to support yourself and family forever with a few mill to spare, and using a million or so to make sure Fallout 3 got made?

How would you, phat wads of cash in hand, approach the task?

I would probably hire some "convincers" to stop by Herve Caen's house in the middle of the night to "convince" him to make Fallout 3 in a "friendly" way.

Me too! I would do it myself however. I would purchase a sniper rifle, or bozar,l and demand interplay make it.
Everyone can be sensible. It takes a genius to be mad.

I would probably buy a few cars and a lot of really cool shit.

I will not give my money to interplay or any other company for Fallout 3 because that is stupid.

"Hey, -insert company name here- take 20 million dollars and please make Fallout 3 kthxbye".

Investing some money in a company like Troika (without any connection to Fallout 3) isn't such a bad idea, though.

That would be particularly stupid, yes. But what about buying the license from Interplay; then selling it (or even giving it) to a company like Troika; and hiring a lawyer to make sure you had a proper say in how the game was made? It's obviously not just a matter of dumping the cash on someone's desk and hoping that they'll use it for what you want.

First I'de get a job at IPLY as like a janitor or a desk boy. Then I'de take the day off and have all the offices bombed and all the employee's either killed or black mailed/listed. Being the sole employee of the company, I'de like automatically become head, correct? Well, since I'm now head of IPLY, I now sell all those crappy licenses to get me some "working money" hire a new staff, and then just well...you know, make Fallout 3.
Harriers for the cup.

Hmm... I would probably buy a large mansion and lots of caffeine, hire some professional writers and coders (and other people necessary) myself and oversee the entire production, writing the story myself & staying home from school while doing that. Wouldn't that be fun. Doubt it would cost very much too.
