First:
Sc0pE & Richy: Settle down. Your arrogence is annoying as hell, although you have played the FO games alot, doesn't make you instant geniuses. Listening to other peoples actions, playing the game and genuarrly going though with different methods, makes you a genuis.
Second: PA is alot worse defending against normal fire (ie: big guns) thus, why the Bozar & Vindictor/Avenger (caseless one) does so much damage against Horrigan at the end, compared to your TPR. Check and compare the stats.
I used to think the same thing, until Bpen pointed it out to me.
Thirdly: If you disagree with someone, don't flame the shit out of them for it. Talps used to do the same thing, and we banned his sorry arse.
settle down, everyone.

sorry for my irrational behavior, i always let my opinion get away from me...
please forgive me
although...
1. dermal implants rule...
2. powered armour looks rather stylish...
3. i don't exactly think that 14-17 damage a shot is fair by the vindicator... it should do way more damage... in FOT the browning M2 is more realistic...
4. powered armour in FO2 repels pojectiles the best... eg: most bullets...

i forgot to say:
my main problem with burst weapons is the high ammo requirement they have and how much weight it takes up...
it becomes a problem for me when i can't get enough ammo for my burst weapons...
i also find that a single shot to the eyes is alot more effective than a burst vs. armour...
just yesterday i went onto the oilrig again and took a bozar and gauss and pulse with me...
I found that even with criticals vs. the enclave troopers/guards that burst did alot less damage than a shot to the eyes...
I found that gauss is the best (high accuracy and damage+piercing)
pulse next (not very good accuracy, but good damage up close, also frys the guys)
bozar last (the burst attacks i did didn't do much damage... mostly about 20-40 HP a guy... not as many one shot kills as single shot weapons)
again, post your opinions, i am interested in what you have to say...
P.S. i am not meaning to dis and bag burst weapons, i am just trying to post my opinion... i am not trying to offend anyone... O.K

firstly, sorry to all who i may have offended in vulgar past-posts. you see, my friend scope and I were just trying to establish ourselves as personalities on the forum, and I can understand if our 'irrational' as scope puts it, behavior annoys you.
sorry ppl.
i help you, eh?
kashluk wrote that he finds the 'gambling' perk useful. you don't need it, friend! in broken hills there is a way to get UNLIMITED cash!! just get that guy in power plant to refine your ore (pay I think $1000). come back in a few days, and he'll tell you that the town really needs the ore. if you comply,he refunds your cash+500 bucks. now, the good part! talk to him again, and the message will be repeated (beta testers day off) and if you comply again, you get the cash! 1500 bucks every time!!! hahahahahahahahahahahha if i were black isle, i'd be firing someone! just repeat the process 4 UNLIMITED cash!!!!! heh.

The pulse, Guass and Boazr are the best Anti-power armour weapons available.
The pulse doesn't do plasma or laser damage (still don't have a clue) and the guass and Bozar are normal, so do more damage then, say, your TPR or laser rifle.
You'll find that you need to get close with the bozar to be super effective, although I've done well over 1000 damage with it at also maximum range (50?)
Guass's ammunition has a high penertration factor, thus why it's the bee's knees when it comes to kicking enclave (or BOS) arse.
Of course a critical to the eyes is gonna hurt, but try it without a super character, and you'll find that it's easier to burst then to hit people in the eyes, as eye hits require high amounts of skill in that particular area of weapon handling. And to get a eye critical requires luck, and perks, so more levels/stats are used in this area.
But it all depends on how you choose, and like, to play your game.

But don't you need to PLAY the game while doing that??? With gambling skill, you can easily just hold down number 1 on the keyboard (I prefer either tape or some kind of a weight over the button), go to sauna, drink, watch tv, sleep, wake up... And in the end for all those hours your 102% gambling skill has been collecting you over 2800193650182 bottle ca... Yes... When you initiate dialogue with the casino gal, she'll ask what you want to do. Press 1 to start gambling. Number 1 again to bet for 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. Number 1 again to bet 5 dollars. And on and on, you propably get the idea...
