hobogoby thingy, u know the cult in fallout 2

i bet this has been covered a million times, but hey.
i was wonder if there was any way to kill the emoporer of the shi 4 the hobos, becasue to c it you have to kill the leader of the hobos (hobgobitist or however u spell it), which kinda defeats the purpose,

also whats the story with the space ship is there any way of getting to to take off, or using it to get to the oil rig, or is it just a way to screw your self over at the end of the game(but wasting the fuel and vetabird plans, these things may have been fixed in the patch),

also to the hobos religious icon the HUB have any thing to do with the trading hub in Fallout1, ive never played Fallout1 so i was curious

The Hub from FO1 has no relation to Hubology.

I think HUB-9 (or whatever) asks you to kill the Emperor. Just go talk to him.

Also, for the record, hobogoby is the best word ever.

AHS-9 asks you to kill the Emperor. The point is he doesn't know that the Emperor is in fact a computer so formatting it's drive won't do the trick. All you have to do is kill the guy that gives you quests for the Shi.

There was supposed to be a way of doing something with the space shuttle, unfortunately it wasn't implemented so it's useless, you can't get inside or do anything with it. It wasn't fixed in the patch.

You will get definitive answers on this forum as the guys over here remember everything and you don't need MCA to answer your questions.

Is there a way to assassinate AHS-9 without being locked in the complex? After you successfully killed the hobogoblist-guru the forcefields are re-activated, leaving u trapped in the dwelling. I tried killing AHS-7 (AHS-9's spokesman, the one dressed in a robe, at the entrance) first, but this activated the forcefields too, making the facility inaccessible. So...i either get locked out or in.

what to do?

I seem to recall that fiddling with the generator beside each forcefield disables it for a little while, allowing you to escape after doing your dirty work. I think you need to use repair or science skills ...

Using repair on the generators next to the fields will shut them off for a while if you have a high enough skill. If you run fast enough, you should be able to get past them fairly easily anyway.

Heh, i opt for the extermination of the cult, not that i have much of a choice, being eagre to meat the heap of wires that claims itself emperor of the Shi.
