Dmg Resistance & Dmg Threshold??

Post by Taxi_Driver »

this maybe a noob question even though i've been playing fallout for a long time, but its juz one of those things that u really need to clear up,

i understand that Dmg Resist. is the amount of physical dmg reduce by amount of percentage, and Dmg Theshold which reduces dmg. by set amount, so

anyway can someone explain to me specificly on the calculation on both of this things ??

((Base Damage x Ammunition Damage Multiplier) - Damage Threshold), minus Damage Resistance as a percentage.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

I'm too mathematical

OK, let's say some jerk in metal armor takes 400 points of damage. Metal Armor has normal DT/DR 4/35 (I think).
So first, the Armor takes off 4 points of damage due to its DT. 400-4 = 396.
Then, finally, the armor takes off 35% of the remaining damage due to its DR. 396-35% = 257.

That's it.
