Don't worry, it will be on several times I'm sure. Thats how Sci-fi does things.

That's true, but then I'll forget about it and I'll never get to see it.

Thanks,

This Marriot has cable, 'n' yes indeed there's the promo for the "Deathlands".

Passed the last test, got the laundry done 'n' looks like no tornadoes
tommorrow, so I'm flying out on schedule....on an cushion that doubles as a floatation device, just in case.....

Another declined a class, so I will be back in June, to finish the core educational requirements. Cram courses, it's in the job description, and here it's an all you can eat sort of cafeteria.

Body fat as collateral damage, these are strange dayz......

Oh, this cable SCI FI Channel has "Stargate" before the "Deathlands",
think I'll go carbo load for my fast during transit.

OOOPPPPSSSZ! damn my trifocals, and my release from self absorbing psuedo academics, jus' too excited, it's still Friday.... will have to ""depend on the kindness of strangers "" to see "Deathlands"
after my flight.

This wasn't as bad as I expected. Still kinda boring, but the neat visuals, twisted characters and constant stabbing was pretty funny. The scene where the guy's brother sticks him in the eye grossed me out. I liked the camera work, too. Flashbacks and extreme colors added a lot. The actors sucked, though. You come to expect that from tv movies.
Anyway, Deathlands felt more like a tv pilot. I'd like to see them make a series out of it to explain the other characters and check out nuked cities or whatever.

I'm taping it now so I can skip over the ads. I'll have to see how it turned out; most of the Sci-Fi Channel original movies I've seen pretty much suck. They'll start advertising them for 6 months before, too, that's the funny part.

Urgh this was so beyond bad. It just didn't make any sense at all whoever wrote this for TV needs a bullet in their head. Can anyone explain to me why the hell the lead guy felt the need to wear a feather boa on his leather jacket? The acting and dialog were horrible.

I disagree with you on the visuals max. Sure that first sequence where he's remembering his youth and that fight start out ok. But once you get out of that the whole thing looks like a bad NIN video. The blood splatters like colored water. Would it have been so difficult to add some thickness and consistency to it? Here's an easy solution film the action sequences in black & white and use chocolate syrup.

The camera work was beyond bad. A constant sepia filter going, uncomfortable angles and shifts. The only fun in the movie was Traci Lords in her role. Her character was so unevenly written that it made the role so easy for her.

The set design made me want to hurl. Here you have the opportunity to tinker with a post apocalyptic setting and sure its a tv movie so youve got to skimp out a bit but all the interiors look like medieval castles and LOADS of exterior shots. Very very boring.

Costumes.... lol. So bad it hurts. Honestly, everyone just looks absolutely ridiculous.
The answer to your first question is shaddup.

Yeah, the interior castle things were too much. I wish they expanded on the actual deathlands.

It got me wanting to check out the books, though. There wasn't enough going on in the movie. They skipped through things too fast like the cannibal place and other things I can't remember.

Of all the damn books that James Axler wrote in that series and they have to choose one of the worst ones.

Then again, he gets so damn many characters later on...
