pictures from cinematics

Post by DefektivUnit »

anybody know how to get decent images out of cinematics? I'm looking for a pic similar, or actually, exactly like Duck and Cover's title graphic with the Vault Dweller wandering into the wastes, but whenever I try to screen cap during the ending cinematic it just turns out a 640x480 chunk-o-black. any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you use Print Screen or f12?

print screen results in some weird gray/black speckle of crud that slightly resembles the original image.
f12 just gets a black square.

You could try using HyperSnap-DX. You can get it from here: http://hyperionics.swmirror.com/HS5Setup.exe

Hope this helps DefektivUnit

While at it why not just use the MVE->GIF/AVI converter from TeamX... It's a bit more work but at least you won't have to use a lameass shareware app.

the_bozar - no dice on that screen cap prog. thanks anyway, tho.

red - pray tell, could you post a link to this program? The only site I found that seemed relevant to TeamX and Fallout was all in Russian - unless, of course, this was part of the work to which you were referring, heh.

I found a link which has it here:

http://www.nma-fallout.com/binaries/fallout_utils.shtml

I though the NMA file section was b0rk, well good for you it isn't (I tested the link and it works).
