I think it's called that because its torso is made out of an old petrol pump. Those would still have been around somewhere, I guess.Mr Carrot wrote:what the fuck is a gas bot doing in a world with no petrol?
The parts are uneven, obviously bits and pieces found here and there, which is nice. Except the 'hands'. Still, the parts themselves look a bit too good. Not very '50s, either.
Not to mention that the whole thing probably isn't very stable.

hum.
1. this does not look official
2. it looks like a concept tops.
3. it doesn't say anything about the game
sure if they are ment to do that robot in the game - and use it more then once - well then it would be weird - but I wouldn't dig too deep in it as it is.
and yet you can justify anything with story in any game - want tech in a high fantasy setting - sure it can be arranged - want clean nice 90s stuff in fallout - it can be arranged.
and not only poorly, but well.
if anything LSD was tested back then.

race and class? Huh? Like in DND?Killzig wrote:You too far to drive over and smack him over the head for trying to include race and class into Fallout?
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Changable skin and hair colour yes, but eyes is taking things a little too far. As for bodytype I like the way JA2 changes the character sprite depending on how many strength points you allocated.Smiley wrote:I'd like more variation of ones person though... y'know... height, weight, eyes, hair, skin and so on...
But definately no classes or character portraits.

Hahaha, too right.Mad Max RW wrote:Looks more like something from Sonic the Hedgehog rather than Fallout 3.
I think the concept artists needsto drop the BIS Official Sega in the break room and do some research. I.e. figure out why the styles were used in Fallout 1 and 2, and what a boxy, neo boxy, the cigar of the flying security bots, and what a robbie all are.
I also hesitate to think that might become of the plot given a robot that was constructed of scrap in that way. Is this going to be another robot plot?
