Andre: There will be over 8 endings to the game. The game will progress and culminate depending on what the player is doing and what difficulty level he picked. On more difficult levels other stalkers will pull out all the stops to solve the ultimate riddle of the Zone and the player will have to choose a faster pace.</em></blockquote><P>The next Q&A is on the German site <A HREF=http://www.4players.de/rendersite.php?L ... Here&#8217;s a bit on the game&#8217;s non-linear design:</P><blockquote><em><B>4P: The game is descriped as "non-linear" but what does it really mean for the gameplay? Andrey: We rejected the linear play from level to level in favour of such freedom of actions and movement as was seen in "Elite", "Daggerfall" and "Fallout". The players will travel the vast territory of the Zone, occupying 30 sq. km. Exploring the Zone, earning money through tasks, and gaining experience by combating, stalkers will move along the unrestricted "non-stiff" story line towards the game end.

An entire world of the Zone will open up before the player. He will be able to make the planning of his development and travels deep inside. The story will develop independently of the player´s actions.

Every time on the game start the player will get a new Zone. These are only the important points (dealers´ locations, army posts, scientific camps and so on) which will remain unchanged. Anomalies, artefacts, monsters will be randomly generated at start.</em></blockquote></body></html>

Or is it because they've made 8 so far, and are planning to make more?

it sounds like the harder the difficulty level it's set to, the more endings there are. I'm curious if its like diablo and dungeon seige, where you work your way up the difficulty levels by playing... or if its something you set in options. I wonder if it will be similar to them in other aspects too... those games are great at including multiple players into a single story line.

Smiley, it says over eight endings. Last time I checked, nine is more than eight.

Does this mean 8+ different ending based on what you did, or like fallout with multiple endings for a faction :shock:

too bad they dont have VR suite type things, this sounds like a whole world. mmm, sounds fun. and with it being an FPS, im even more happy :D
