First solid proof of FO3's existence...
All this speculation based on one screenshot, JE Sawyer must be laughing his ass off right now. It looks like intentional, especially Feargus.txt. I don't believe Van Buren or any other project is Fallout 3 before it's confirmed. Just like the previous hot rumors have turned out to be something entirely else. The 'Gas bot' doesn't even look fallouty. It looks like one of Tom French's robot toys.

Here's another gasbot...
http://www.computoons.com/qrobot.htm
Though obviously too cheery for the FO universe... Just to show this wasn't the first to come up with the idea... Not that the idea is great for the FO universe either (see other various posts about that...)
Yet I find this "gasdroid" much more appropriate (given proper Fallouty colours) to the 50's view of what a gas tank should be like in post 2000... A bit like how Mr Handy. walks the dog, Mr. Gasdroid cleans your car while filling her up and says thank you once done!

The Gas-bot in JE Sawyers desktop doesn't look very retro to me. The huge mechanical arm/cannon bothers me, and that Star Wars droid-head.
I kinda hoped to see more robots in Fallout. Mr. Handy and a few guardbots isn't really much to boast about. FOT had some pretty interesting robots in the latter missions, especially the floating rocket launcher. Somehow I feel they could develop this aspect a bit further. Retro-esque robots fit perfectly in vaults and other 1950's hi-tech environments.
