Cathedral Bomb?

Post by trythebill »

I was looking through the Fallout bibles when something popped into my head. Why is there a nuclear bomb under the Catherdral? I know it is supposed to be a vault but why is there a bomb?

Maybe because no one would think to look for a nuke under a cathedral? :/

maybe the master's army found it somewhere on one of their many expeditions and put it there for good use?

- Edited for the good of everyone, Dan.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

No lair of evil would be complete without a proper self-destruction device. ;)
I guess the designers wanted an alternate way to deal with the Master other than meeting the Master itself that's why they included the bottom level(with the bomb), but the history behind why/how the bomb got there is beyond my knowledge. There was a nuclear bomb on the Enclave oil rig too, so I guess some places are just meant to be destroyed.

the master is known for overlooking smaller details in his plan that all eventually lead to his end.
