that one salesman that reads off of cards, and you fall asleep and dont know what your buying when you wake up. i saw him so many times trying to get that damned alien blaster.
i like the startrek one... your supposed to be able to get the "Phazer" which is like an alien blaster but the developers thought that we already had too many "special guns" i.e. solar scorcher, alien blaster, etc
I didn't like any of the FO2 encounters. In Fallout 1, however, I especially liked the Alien Blaster one / Bob's Used Cars.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
Dogmeat was nothing special, all he was good for was getting blown away by mutants. Everybody just likes him because he's Mad Max's dog. Not that that's a bad reason.
Heh, actually, I just recently replayed FO1, and put my Leather Jacket in a locker at GunRunners. I was about to go blow up the vats when I thought to myself, "I'm forgetting something." I grabbed my jacket, my .223 Pistol, grabbed Dogmeat from my NPC pool (Boneyard Mushroom Farm), and headed towards the base. I felt so badass.
Ummm.... Yeah, It's a good idea to attack the vats with a leather jacket (Instead of PA), a .223 pistol (instead of the plasma rifle), and one weak npc.

I've done it. Although substitute the .223 pistol for a Winchester Shotgun.

Well, with a good un-armed skill, the super Sledge can be very powerful.
And killing everyone isn't really difficult, it's just awfully boring. The only harder fight would be the brotherhood, but it's still not much of a problem.
My favorite encounter wasn't a special encounter. It was at the beginning and I was on my way to Klamath. Ran into some homeless people, spent to much time just walking around, and one of the guys attacked me, so I killed him with my spear. The idiot had a SMG on him! Didn't use it, but had it fully loaded. Made the game a little easier from then on (except for the toxic caves- what do you need to kick golden gecko butt?).
I support everyones right to make a fool of themselves.
