How about an encounter where you watch a super mutant and BOS paladin go at it for a while, then make up and walk off into the sunset?

That's kinda fucked up. I mine what the hell could that with the VD or CO? You're the VD looking for the best place to start up a tribal village. That sounds mighty gay. It better take place in anohter part of the country if it starts after FO.

If it follows along the path of FO2, then they'll be having sex, not fighting.

Wait, why would anyone want an encounter of Marcus and Jacob having sex?

Edit: other than Yaoi fan fic writers, I mean.

that means its gonna suck. they cant have it work without holes and not being able to use the old chars/cant introduce new guns. and also all new charactors would have to die before FO2 story started. well, not die, but have a good way to fit into it.

He was going to be in FO2, but in the end, they just didn't put him in. He was supposed to be either in the Den as an old man who thinks you look like someone he knew and gives you a gun or in a location called the Abbey that was cut from the game.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

He was supposed to be in the Abbey. I think one of the people in the Cafe of Broken Dreams Encounter says something like "Ian? He's around here some where, try the Abbey."

Can't the people at Black Isle or some modder cook up a mod or pathc that can allow you to find Ian and this abbey along with the nefarious EPA center.

And yeah, a Hall of Heroes is nice... I mean, maybe some people didn't like Katja and other Party Members, but they are all part of the same team, damn it.

KillaKilla's logic:
FOT and FO: BOS weren't FO at all!........... 1. I am nobody
DOGMEAT is God. Never dispute this!........ 2. Nobody is perfect
Up and coming hardware nerd.................. 3. Hence I am perfect

There aren't enough of us. Most fallout players (like 95%) don't go to forums. They just play the game once and toss it out/store it away. Morowind had more players (I think?), so only like 2-3% needed to do this to improve on the game. Also, FO isn't an effective "nerd" game (No offense to the geeks, one of which I am) and thus doesn't have such a techie community to do such things.
Also, I would like a hall of heroes, with specialized items. IE: the sawed-off with reminder to take heart pills, The broken radio, The dog Uber-dog skeleton which is invincible, from which you can take the jaw and make a knife that does 999-999999999 damage, all critical. This would include all possible party members, with a description and a commemorative item. Only available after you've finished the game.]

Trudat. I'm pretty computer illiterate myself :P ... though I am a roleplaying geek and I spend an inordianate amount of my time writing and drawing. But eh, what can you do. To top off your point, Morrowind has tons of players and shit - way more than Fallout's miniscule fanbase, that's for sure.

No.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

heres a great idea:

all messed up encounters (such as stupid monty pithon stuff) should be saved until you have beaten the game (given that you would be able to continue like in FO2) so then you wont have all that stupid stuff durring the game and you would have to work for it. all encounters during the game would be normal, not insane items or long lost FO1/2 people.

or better yet just not have any stupid encounters at all!!

Damn.... There are a lot more Fallout fans, but I guess Fallout is an under dog game...

But even PC Gamer hails Fallout universe as a stroke of genius.

Wait... i remember reading in the fo2 handbook (vault dweller's diary) that ian got killed in necropolis by a flamer...so how could he be in fo2 anywhere but a special encounter...or a ghost!
