Vault City Wrench

I need the wrench for val in vault city but the kid's gone already and the pile of rocks won't allow me to find it, is there an alternate way for me to get it?

I've had this problem before. You have three options.

1) Go back and forth between Vault City and Broken Hills, desperately hoping to find a caravan that'll sell you a wrench. This is possible, but it takes luck. The real kind, not LK.

2) Wait until you hit San Francisco, where one of the tanker merchants will happily sell you a wrench, which is immensely vexating.

3) Use FALCHE2 to give yourself a wrench. I would do this because the other two are too damn annoying.

I think they're might be one inside the vault city vault, on the second level. Only catch is you have to be strong enough to open the doors.

should be able to open them. I think some of them are just locked though, but I don't think the wrench is behind a locked door just a jammed one, iirc.

I had the same problem, since I'm playing the UK version(why the hell sell that anywhere but UK? Can't be a problem to sell the US version in the rest of Europe).

Found a wrench in one of the mining offices in Redding.

Just a general thought, but I think you can find any type of tool in the chop shop.

Apparently when I got my copy of F2, the dude forgot to tell me he was selling me a Euro copy (i.e no kids) 3 hair pulling days later, I found the patch to get them in.
Anyway, the chop shop dude will sell you a wrench or you can just snatch a *free* one. Its in the 2nd locker from the back wall in the mineshop where you find the guy who cut up the barmaid at the Malamute.(Redding)
