start point / players (please help a n00b out)

A couple of n00b questions...

How do I set the start point for a mission?

and

How do you select the player character? (Ill get deeper into creating a main character when I get to creating a campiagn).

Im new, and havent found a tutorial which address' these yet.

At the moment when I load up a map Ive made I just get a blank map and no player.

I think the starting point is set in your campaign file in the campaign editor.

To get a starting character you have to set up the player indexes which has been covered here:
