I started a new game and my main dude is going as fast as the car is and hes not in it this is very frustrating because i cant hardly get any encounters and i can clear the whole world map in like 1 min does anyone know what i should do?
You have a fast processor, do you not? If so, I don't think there's a way to get around it.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
Or, you could underclock it w/ jumpers/BIOS settings. I remember seeing a program for this in the forums....
EDIT: yep, thats the one!
EDIT: NM its not there...

KillaKilla's logic:
FOT and FO: BOS weren't FO at all!........... 1. I am nobody
DOGMEAT is God. Never dispute this!........ 2. Nobody is perfect
Up and coming hardware nerd.................. 3. Hence I am perfect
unless you want to pull that old hunk-o-junk computer out of your basement, just live with it.
does the clock on the upper-right-hand-corner still move as fast as you do? if it does, that really sucks.
my computers 2.59 ghz but i duno how to solve this i sent a email to interplay i guess ill wait for there reply thanks for the help if anyone else has any ideas feel free to let me know.
EDIT: ya i had the problem too but i never solved it so i cant help you either oh well i guess you just need to deal with it or something i really dont know ..ja sillee
In my opinion processor's number chewing capability should have NOTHING to do with the amount of encounters. There's something else wrong with your game, but fast processor is just that - a fast processor. It means it would calculate the chance of getting a random encounter faster, it shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with the amount of the encounters themselves.
Even so it doesint explain why i can go from top to bottem in 5 seconds and antoher fact when i installed fallout 1 it went the noraml speed and was fine. which leads me to belive something is wrong with fallout 2
when did you buy FO2? if your within the 90 day limit you can get a new cd for free.
or else you need to pay $5 and i bet you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
i replaced mine, it fixed a lot of bugs... (guessiing that this is a bug)
