Fallout Story time
[Community -> Update]
Bloodbathmaster2, a fine upstanding citizen in the Fallout community, has kindly sent along his post-apocalyptic story, "The Stranger". What a nice guy he is! Settle in for a taster:
"Awake."
Dim shadows danced on the wall. The morning sun peered through the cracked remains of a window. Faintly, a warm breeze whistled outside, brushing against a pair of bleached curtains and kicking up ages of dust as they in turn brushed against the floor. At a first glance, the room seemed empty: just a lonely bed and table. It was a hotel room. At least it once was. Fifty years ago, men and women fucked in that very same bed. Fifty years ago, the world was another place. It had once been to some an inescapable hell. But time has its remedies. And hell can get much, much worse.
"Get up!"
There was a whisper in the wind. The ancient sheets stirred and a man's face peered out to greet the morning. He was alone. There was no whore. There hadn't been a whore in this bed in fifty years. His eyes darted from side to side. He couldn't remember sleeping here. Where was he? Slowly, he crawled to his knees, pulling the blanket round himself. He neared the window. And he looked. He didn't want to. He already knew what was out there. Outside was that inescapable hell. Outside was the wasteland, his home.
Ooh drama! To read more of the gritty tale, you'd probably be best off clicking here. Nice... I guessed the twist during one of the dreams..
I prefer pure wasteland life though, rather than a psycho's wasted life. Great story, but I want a plain old survivor story, Set around the Fallout two time.. When things are becoming a little more prosperous, but still an orange tinted dusty wasteland..
Mm.. Yes...
Why must i continue playing fallout three in the confines of my own imagination.

T-900, sadly 'your' one of the many people on the internet who substitutes a flashy sig for punctuation, grammar, rationality, and coherence. Personally, I find that very annoying. Please amend those problems, either with rehab, if possible, or suicide, if necessary. Thank you for your concern.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
