Yeah, the cars aren't making me too happy, they look like utter shit. No style at all... I mean seriously... if you're gonna go 80's what the fuck business do they have NOT going delorean? That's fucking sick. Grrrr. Anyway... I wanna know what that one to the left of that is. Looks like it might actually be interesting, if I could see it.
Edit : oh, that's the road to denver. Duh.

That's not a jeep though, it looks like a car with monster wheels. The gun on that back is so blurry that it could be a character holding it. The second car does look like a beetle from the the top, but the front looks similar to the 50s and before style vehicles.s4ur0n27 wrote:I don't think the gun's the problem. The jeep has a 80s style, and the car looks like a beetle.

hey
Haha, owned.Mad Max RW wrote:I don't get how those cars are 80s. It's like you guys make things up to bitch about. The blue car with the large wheels is too blurry, but the Beetle lookalike fits the 1950s setting. They've been making those forever.

I agree with Mad Max as well but I dont see how the lack of Fallout 3 is our fault. Weve been begging for a Fallout 3 for years and Interplay has completely ignored us by putting out products on the complete other side of the spectrum and using bastardisations of the liscense as a last resort when they really need a new product. In a way Interplay has essentialy ignored one of its largest and certainly the most devoted fan base its ever had. I really dont understand why JE Sawyer dosent just talk to the actual Fallout community as that's who theyre selling the game to instead of alienating us completely.Fallout Junkie wrote:Yeah Mad max is right some of you people really need to shut the fuck up and maybe for once give interplay a little support. The only people you can blame for fallout 3 not being made is yourselfs.
As for the picture, I have to say that I like some of the art that's been released so far (the environments mostly) and Im trying to hold off on having an opinion about the cars but the one blue one does look an awful lot like some sort of home-made monster truck youd find walking around through a very sourthern neighborhood.
Whoever said that the blue vehicle looks like an 1980s Jeep is quite clearly blind. It is a late 1950s/early 1960s design, with back end resembling a Corvette and front end looking somewhat like the Studebaker Golden Hawk.

That's taking it a little too far. Interplay doesn't take enough of the fans' feedback seriously to have any effect on Fallout 3.Fallout Junkie wrote:The only people you can blame for fallout 3 not being made is yourselfs.
The stuff is just concept art. So whatever pisses you off now is likely to piss you off ten times more in the finished game

According to Sawyer we`re not:Mr Carrot wrote:The thing is, theres far far far too much emphasis on cars in this art, i hope that were not going to see several hundred cars running about the place.
I would like to see another car in a Fallout sequel. The car was useful and not crazy OMG powerful or "unrealistic", even within the setting. However, there probably should be only one car or possibly two (big and slow vs. small and fast).
However, Fallout 3 will probably have other... alternate means of transportation.
