side comment here, photoshop's "sharpen" makes the pic look like crap. it is almost better if you blur it, the sharpening makes certain pixels wierd colors.

the second car looks like its from the origional fallouts. and i would be extatic if they had a corvega in F3, but i dont know about the huge tires, unless they are from bigger vehicles where the rubber is thicker and didnt deteriorate, that makes sence. =

Maybe they have bigger tires because they'll have to be used in, say, a place that isn't just a bigass desert? Meaning they'd need the bigger tires in order to actually get around, what with things like mountains and all that all over Colorado.

Anyways, who cares if the second car looks like a beetle? If it is a beetle, then good. That's still in 1950s style. Beetles have been made since the last 1930s, in Nazi Germany. They were cheap, easily mass-produced, and run well enough. If they want to have cars that were actually around in the '50s, let them be, I say.

Hate to burst your bubble and a lot of other people's, but not ALL cars in the 1950s America were enormous tanks.

Yeah, but, um, so what? I don't really understand why everyone's suddenly decided that the sole inspiration for fallout was 50's style. I'll say it again here, Mad Max was also a very large part of it, along with some originality thrown in for good measure. Saying that everything in fallout three MUST be 50's style is stupid as crap. Freaking conservatives... open up a little, there's this thing out there called "change". Kthxby.

Its the fucking game universe, you cant just suddenly reinvent it.

Fo1 and 2 are the 2 best rpgs of all time, they dont need to change much.

What, and having a Beetle style car is going to completely ruin the game universe? I mean, especially when they actually fit within the setting that you are saying FO3 HAS to be in (that being 1950s-ish post-nuclear America)? Mind you, I don't think that every car has to be a beetle, but having one car be a beetle isn't going to kill everything, right?

Besides, it isn't even the 1950s. It's the 2070s+ nuclear (;)) family. Do you really think that everything needs to be about the '50s? I mean, if that were the case, then we'd need to get rid of the entire FEV bit, as nobody back then thought about biological warfare. Sheesh, some people...:p

I'm just slightly disturbed that this "change" that is supposed to be so healthy is used to justify k3wl stuff.

Its a different universe, its not the 2070s of our universe. For all we know the 50s and its asthetics never ended.

My point is when theresonly going to be one/2 cars in the game id rather have something which shouts 50s Amerikana rather than lates 30s European Kitsch.

Beetles wouldn't be cheap and easy to make with Fusion engines. I think only a few companies were able to put them out, they were expensive and probably big.

To quote MCA (I think): "It's an atomic '50s version of the future with a lot of bombs dropped on it." 'Nuff said.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but it sure doesn't look like much of a VW to me. More like a modified 40's Chrysler:

It would be funny as hell if you got extremely worked up over something you really didn't know what you were fucking talking about...

Porcu is a dick-licker. But the fact remains that the car could be a Chrysler or it could be a VW or it could be none of the above. To assume anything is asinine!

blah blah blah. why are we still arguing? How about we get an oddsmaker on board here at DAC and start betting lines...

Odds for

BIS being sold off before FO3 is completed.

IPLY closing it's doors before FO3 is completed.

FO3 being rushed out as a buggy mess in a box.

FO3 being everything we expected and more (HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAH)

JE Sawyer going drag and singing that ella fitz tune in front of Troika's offices hoping to jump aboard Timmy's newest PA rpg (here's hoping)
